got money to buy their 4k box but no money to buy 4k tv, thats the most common problem for many, or rather.... why would i change my tv when its still healthy? most people think like that. people will wait until their tv is really spoil then change new one.
coz they saw Planet Earth 2 in departmental stores? :s13:

and the small footprint of X1X fit in nicely to the living room.

New Monster Hunter Coming To PS4, Xbox One, PC (Update 2: Big Changes)

Monster Hunter: World introduces a living, breathing ecosystem in which players take on the role of a hunter that seeks and slays ferocious beasts in heart-pounding battles that unfold across the vast ever-changing terrain.

...

Retaining the series’ skill based progression and robust crafting system, players gear up to venture on quests to seek and slay monsters, progressively improving their skills to become the ultimate hunter. Loot collected from fallen foes can be used to create new equipment and armor upgrades styled after the monsters they’ve slain, allowing hunters to survive the elements and defeat the tougher opponents that await them.

Monster Hunter: World delivers a seamless gameplay experience allowing players to move freely across map areas that comprise the living ecosystems and dynamically transition from day to night. The landscape and its diverse inhabitants play a critical role in each quest as players strategically use the surrounding environment including terrain, vegetation and wildlife to their advantage in battle or become hindered by the hazards they present. Hunters must use their cunning and abilities to track and maneuver their targets throughout the intense, evolving battles.

With flexible online multiplayer options and an accessible quest structure, players can tackle challenges alone or join up to three other hunters online for cooperative play. For the first time in the Monster Hunter™ series, players from Japan and the west can play together online, providing an expanded base of cooperative hunting companions. With the new online drop-in functionality, solo players can hail for assistance from the worldwide group during quests when their opponents are too daunting to take on single-handedly

some rumors are pointing to this is done back a western team. and also Sony paid Capcom to ensure this will not appear on Switch.

not as if Switch can handle it anyways

and also Monster Hunter is going to be split to 2 series. portable and console.

I don't think so, I played the china 1, gameplay is very mmo, don't have action moves like swing from tree to tree, or jump attack the monster from a cliff. This is very much a new monster hunter.

That's good to hear. At least it's new

yes...that's why sony is 'kinda' smart not 'going all out' on the Pro like the Xbox One X is........because 4k tv penetration is still too low..

i think by the time 4k tv penetration reached about 40%, PS5 will be upon us then....

that being said, i will be upgrading to a 4k tv soon as i am moving house and my current 1080p samsung tv is giving me cracking noise and out of warranty so why not? That and a PS4 Pro.

Yeah the jump to 4K is too soon and too rushed, the overwhelming majority of steam users still game on 1080p, and PC is supposed to be the "enthusiasts" preferred gaming platform, I don't think MS is going to sell too many X1X.

If you see the gameplay, it is nowhere near how Spiderman used to play. I've played the old ones before. It is nothing like this at all.
This has almost all the mechanics of Batman Arkham games including how Spiderman swings from building to building.

I love the Arkham games so getting a chance to play in the Marvel version of Batman with more stories is always welcome.

I've never played a decent spiderman game, the last one i tried was shattered dimensions and its ok only. I have faith in insomniac altho i honestly thought sucker punch would be better in doing this.

I was actually comparing to games back in the PS2/XBOX era with Spiderman 2 games and all.:s13:
I skipped most of the PS3 era Spiderman because it doesn't look impressive with an open world.
Indeed. I love the Infamous series. Glad to see Insomniac back with their gorgeous graphics engine and the open world experience.

The best part about open world super hero games is to just walk around the city and hear some people either support you or hate you and when you do impressive stuff, and you hear the reactions of people below. Surprisingly, such open world super hero games are super rare. :s13:
That is why I miss Spiderman 2 experience a lot. I am so rooting for this!

Trash talk is trash talk

We back at school recess console war talk now, boys!

This is not just trash talk. It is a marketing ploy. Just like Assassin's Creed Origins, the leaks were actually controlled leaks created by the marketing department (as admitted by them). The purpose is to get people excited and start hyping and talking about the game or product.

Please ignore this article as much as possible. As the more you talk about it, you are actually creating awareness of the X1X to more people. And that in turn will make people curious and want to find out more. My own Business lecturer with his years of experience in Marketing told us that. Makes sense. So let's not be easily manipulated. :D

The reason why the article is complete trash is quite obvious. Even the Xbox One S is as inferior to the original PS4. So what say a PS4 Pro? Obviously far far different. The keyword is obvious. But they want those Xbox fanboys who doesn't know better to purposely add fuel to the fire. That is why it is best to just put it out as soon as possible and move on to the one thing that matters; Exclusive games that I can't get on any other platform. If those games make you wanna play it but you can't because you don't have the platform and if you find the exclusives justifies buying the console, then you know that console is the right one for you.

Over the entire gaming era, the same trend has happened. Even back with Nintendo and Sega. But for the last few console generations,
PS2 - Early console release + more exclusive games
Xbox 360 - Early console release + more games
PS3 - Only caught up after more new exclusives and reduced ridiculous console price
PS4 - Early console release + more exclusive games

i was reading an interview with Michael Pachter and the interviewer asked him: "What do you think about the Xbox One X more powerful specs against the PS4 Pro? How do you think the people and Sony will react?"

His reply: "Nobody other than the extreme hardcore minority will care. It's like comparing who is the tallest midget. Who cares?"
Pachter is one of those who started the whole scorpio needs to be 399 argument. Now he's pointing out that for the price of an x1x, you can buy a xbox 1s and a ps4 :s13:.

i think if you are playing nintendo games and thinking of getting the best 'graphics'...you are doing it wrong...nintendo has never been about graphics (after N64 generation)....it's always about gameplay....

Nintendo don't give a sh*t about 'best quality pixels' or 'chromatic aberration'

all i meant was 1080p is more than good enough for consoles atm, pushing for 4k and expecting a low price is simply not possible.

PS4 Pro managed to do it though when we compare Nintendo's 720p/1080p Switch console that retails around $699 with the X1X's $699. :s13:

Even Microsoft's recent survey was geared more to the Switch. Ask you how much you love the device and all.. No wonder now even the price also, they follow.

To be fair, the $699 price in SG for the Switch is plain ridiculous (even with the bundle). The system is only US$299 in America.
