For a start, do you have a Taiwan bank account to receive the remittance?

Remittance service provider charges a fee of $20~30. You do the maths to see if the amount you are converting is worth the trouble.

There is online remittance service provider like OFX which claim not to charge fee but not sure if there are other hidden charges.

Withdrawing from Taiwan Atm is better now with Visa and Mastercard rate at about 24.67 whereas Spore money changer is offering 24.5

Me too, din go to the money changer since post covid. In Feb their rate was better than ATM withdrawal in Taiwan, so was monitoring a bit and thought that I may go change but now can just stick to ATM withdrawal. LoL.

So many atms around and most r free of fees. If only their night markets and transports also accept cards, else really no use for cash.

i heard trust card no withdrawal fee.
revolut only up to $350 or something.

Youtrip also max 400sgd each month.
If you have trust, it seems the better option.

I am keen to know is there any charges for using YOUTRIP card to do the ATM withdrawal in Taiwan, since you guys said exchange rate is better than money charger in SG. But, 400sg monthly might not be enough for me as I will have total 9days in Taiwan. I think I probably use citibank or POSB everyday master then.

Revolut Trust has no limits and weekend tax. Try Mega bank. No fees. Some other banks also no fees.

Withdrawal fees​

You can make a certain amount of withdrawals per rolling month without withdrawal fees charged by Revolut. If you exceed your no-fee withdrawal limit, you'll be charged 2% of the withdrawal amount or a S$1.49 fee (whichever is greater) for each withdrawal in the rolling month.

Here are the free withdrawal limits by plan:

• Standard: S$350 (or 5 withdrawals, whichever comes first)
• Premium: S$700
• Metal: S$1050

Check your free withdrawal limit status and reset date in the 'Your plan' section in-app.

There is limit . $350 per month. so perhaps if so i use combination of card youtrip $400. Revolut $350 and trust card

My bad, I meant Trust card, not revolut. Revolut and utrip have limits.

Why change in advance if u can change anytime u need it? Also, nowadays most stores accept cards except night markets and public transports and a small number of shops.

POSB everyday mastercard charges overseas fee of at least 2.5%. So if you do not have a trust card, apply for one now. Take about 1 week to get your card, in time for your trip in May. If you need a referral code, can PM me, both of us can get free NTUC vouchers, LOL.

To add on, Bank of Taiwan (BOT) also has no fee on ATM withdrawal. Anyone else know what other banks without ATM withdrawal fees?
