22.80 at Crante Money Change (Chinatown near the durian pancake store)

Weird thing is i check the exchange board on that day, it's states 0.043 (1 SGD = 23.25 NT) for Taiwan dollars. But when i manage to get to the counter the lady told me 22.80. I just change anyway.

BTW got a noob question to ask here.
I was there and i saw the exchange rate on the board was like 0.43 which is like 23.25 ?
but when i queued and ask the guy, he told me 22.8 too.
Can any bros enlighten me why is that so ?

Its the money changer at the glass door. Nt sure wads its name though.
Maybe u saw the buy rate? Normally when xchnging money (SGD -> other currencies), its always the higher rate. 0.43 is the rate TWD -> SGD

Sry to butt in but I have a question with regards to this topic.

Recently, it was announced that Sing Dollar has grown to one of its more stronger value in recent yrs but y is it that I compare wif earlier exchange rates from the earlier replies of this thread, I found that the exchange rates has not increased but decreased instead?

I do not think that NT has grown stronger over the past yr?

Anyone noes y?

if you compared the rate of SGD to some other currency like USD or YUAN... actually SGD is stabilised... its TWD currency doing the effect...

sgd strengthening is a relatively term, u need to compare it with another currency.
generally, usd is the benchmark for general comparison.

sgd is said to have strengthened much in recent times against the USD.
