Every S$1,000 change into NT ,
a NT 0.20 difference in the exchange rate ( NT 23.44 vs NT 23.64 / S$1 ) will only be a NT200 / 23.44 = S$8.52 difference. If there is a need to drive over, incur parking charges and wait at least 30 mins in the damn long queue just to change S$1,000 or less, I guess its not worth it.

Unless one is working nearby popping over during lunchtime ( super long queue ) or changing a bigger amount like 2 or 3k, I think it is not worth the effort to queue, incur petrol and parking cost to gain the extra $8.52 savings...

currently the rate is quite high,think u should change in sg or least change 1/4-1/2 of ur total budget in sg 1st
i usually change at least $500 in sg 1st as long the rates is above $22.8
anything is above $22.5 is considered high rates

When I changed @ 23.64 on 3rd Aug, the internet rates was hovering around 24.05. MAS average rates for Aug 2011 was 24.098. Today's internet rates is 24.085.

Seems like either the currency exchange are holding on to old stock @ around 23.5, or they decides to take more profit on NTD.
