i'm not sure where wildkev got his exchange rate from, because i think the one in the net is not what we get if we change in cash.

When i first walked in the rate the lady printed out was 23.84, but when i said im changing cash it was another rate, 23.698 but it was still better than sg'd rate :)

Go to DBS TW FX.

Refer to the row under SGD, there are 4 columns. Ignore the 1st and 3rd column as those pertain to the bank selling SGD (i.e. converting from TWD to SGD).

The 2nd column refers to the spot rate while the 4th column refers to the 'cash' rate. So if you are changing SGD to TWD physically at the bank, only the 4th column is applicable.

If change only a few hundred, doesn't make much of a difference. If it is a thousand or so, worthwhile to make the trip. Can spare the excess to buy some nice snacks!

Is it still the case? I never been there no, I look around raffles place

I am not sure that's why I am trying to ask if anyone has actually visited the place. Normally I will also head to Raffles Place...the last time SGD surged against NTD, I managed to get the rate of 2.78 at Change Alley. I think their rates are still the most competitive if you head down at the right time...but if the Joo Chiat money changer offers a better alternative, I don't mind trying also. Find it a hassle to always go Raffles Place... :s13:

Then just try to use the get4x website la, nothing to lose its free. I use it around raffles place but if you stay close to Joo Chiat then its even better
