I will avoid short DLCs, it will make people mind “short”

I need to earn “$100 daily” (Which I mean $1k daily), so that I dont have to pay DCP of $60k principal for full 10 years lol

Close all your positions and take a break from trading.

Review all your losses and strategy.

Otherwise, you will just be throwing money after bad.

Luckily I didnt fail to pay brokerage despite the $19k loss cushioned by
- The one day $6k gain prior to disaster
- The $2.5k gain (Eventually under iOCBC custody account) from Xiaomi Long, Netease Long, Alibaba Long (Basicially intraday trade but the biggest gain still from Xiaomi Long)
- The $1k gain from last batch of Meituan long as the remaining 15,000 units were sold at target price of 1.15

And of course there were other prior gains before to further cushion but those were originally meant for other expenses

pls la ts for ur own good, dun gamble already.

win 6k 2k 2k but 1 loss = wipe out ur whole portfolio + still in debt.

if u really wan to trade, i recommend to read some books first especially on mentality and psychology. u need to learn how to cut loss instead of doubling down with no homework done

“十赌九输,久赌必输”
The market is an irrational beast.
Nobody can predict the market correctly.

True but you have an investor's mindset lah. Not everyone thinks the same. Your goal is to GROW your money, so understandably you'll find it stupid to actually LOSE money in the markets when you can literally do nothing and gain ~8% when times are good.

I have a close friend who gambled away $400k of inheritance money in the markets. Don't know the full details, but my guess was shorts/options that went horribly wrong. Kept doubling down and lost the lumpsum plus everything he had before that. Lucky he was still in his early twenties, got enough time to recover but not the same person after that incident.

Funniest part is before that, he kept poking fun at the 4d/toto buyers in our group and said that they're flushing money down the toilet, they should be more financially responsible etc.

Easy money is dangerous money i guess.

Easy come, Easy go.
Not uncommon for young people in 20s who got a windfall to spend/lose everything.
