well, to pass time....taxi driving is better than work in office

drive taxi is OTOT except that most taxi drivers prefer not to drive during wet weather for the fear of accidents.
and the cab companies can't do anything about that.

In M12 banking industry, 200 to 300k is indeed possible. Even more than 1 million is possible as I was in the same industry and witness my teammate (note: treasury sales teammate only, not even boss) earned that before. Beside private banking, the M&A investment bankers and dealing room traders can achieve that too. However, like some of the forumers mentioned, whether is it substainable for the long run is another question. Traders, investment bankers are shrinking and many had lost their jobs, private banking shines for 2013/ 4 but may not last much longer, in my opinion. Heard a listed Oil and Gas company undergoing major restructuring too... So my thoughts are it is a matter of time, everything goes back to basic..
I switched from banking to real estate industry 3 months back (self-employed no salary) and see even more interesting stuff.... top agents (which to me same as bankers who do not deserve their usual million dollar compensation) cannot close any case for months.. so I guess it is reality check for all in 2015... well I see if I can start my own agency soon...and hopefully I can succeed in the competitive business world

contentment is a bliss.

forever craving for more is greed and the person will never be happy...

One can be contented and happy with an average salary. But when a medical illness or family misfortune strikes, how does the lack of funds (due to low salary and thus low savings) continue to maintain the smile on your face?

A $15k to $20k monthly salaried employee can easily set aside $5k to $10k as forced savings every single month. Tell me please, how does an average $2k to $4k salaried employee save?

This quote is only half true.

Yes, contentment is bliss, but not in the expense of growth.

Happiness is a balance between contentment and growth.

A happy person is one that strive for higher goals, but is content with whatever the universe give him/her.

A person who is content with what he/she has, but does not have the drive for higher achievement, is living in a bubble and bliss is only temporary. Once the bubble burst, he/she will live in suffering.

Likewise, a person who is constantly aiming for higher achievement, but is never satisfy, is living in suffering now. The day he/she learns how to be content, is the day he/she truly has bliss. Hopefully, by then, the people he/she loves is still with them.

Happiness is a Balance Between Contentment and Growth.

The sky is truly the limit. This is especially after you know of people paying $50k and above on income tax every month.

Are they contented with making that much? I doubt it. Much is relative. Are they happy? I am sure they are from a monetary point of view.
