they are liquimoly distributor and only use liquimoly products....i only use the toptec 4100 before....its 120 including labor....good stuff but 'eaten' by engine quite fast too....gotta top up after 3-5k

as the mileage is ard 50k already i was recommended to change all the oil, timing belt (this is the bomb), water pump, spark plugs, e.t.c.

hope never kena chop...the uncle (Tony) seemed like a nice guy...told me Alfa Sportivo opened by ex staffs...

Probably based on the things to be changed, go call and ask for a quote at Alfa City and Ienergi as well. Let me see.. timing belt + water pump about $500+?

too late haha i left the car there and choose to trust the uncle whole heartedly

yup it's around there. quoted $600, as $30 is required for coolent...

is it exp? maybe some branded coolant..cant make out the hand writings something coolant 1542, he said have to drain current ones and refill, and this can last for around 2 years.

the grande but its the manual version

saw a fellow punto driver @ the workshop yesterday, a friendly chap. recommended me to change air intake to open pod or sth...says the power is a bit weak when going up carpark with steep ramps

yeah but open pod means low end torque will suffer....u might wanna explore other options

not too sure about grande punto as my ride is the previous version one....anyway good choice....hope u enjoy your ride

Can consider closed pod like those BMC or Simota with CAI instead.
i've yet to remove my open pod with the Simota i got 2 months back. Plus, with open pod, you'll love your intake sound and the faster revving engine.

hey guys. 2 weeks of driving and according to the meter i got an avg of like 8.7l which is very very bad for a manuel punto?

something must be wrong with my driving haha...but i do get the usual jam every morning when otw to work.

btw i'm thinking of changing to 16" tyre from the current 15". which size are you guys using?

Once you up to 16", it drops by 2km/l

With spirited driving, i'm getting around 13-15km/l for my GP ( Manual + electronic FC calculations )

Re: Open Pod, I was seriously considering DIYing a PVC CAI but coz of the already low torque, just settled on the KNN Air filter change.

And Yes, the infamous torque. Going up steep ramps with 2 persons only is a killer. Gotta rev!

just changed my tyre today. stick to 15" (hankook v12)

i'm driving the manual, going up steep slope (or mscp) i'll downshift to 1st gear...then 2nd gear when travelling to the other ramp...very tiring

will try those techniques like freewheeling and monitor the fc with this set of new tyres
