Haha so it is dependent on strap to feel the vibration

I saw from other forum charge 2 vibration is weak

My purpose is to buy for my MIL who is sleeping w the baby, she wan a silent alarm as any sound would wake the baby..

I suggest you can buy the huami amazefit bip watch. I have that for my son. I think it suits your needs. Vibration is powerful.

anyone has a link to any good 3rd party metal straps?

My Amazon Milanese strap just arrived. It is very easy to install. Took me less than a minute to swap them. The other one I bought from Qoo10 is still a nightmare. I have confirmed the Qoo10 one is the problem. Incidentally, my watch (internal part where straps are connected) has been scratched badly by that hopeless strap.

Amazon Seller Hooroor

The Qoo10 strap is lighter, at 26g and has more shine. The Amazon strap weighs 32g, is longer and has matt finish. I would prefer a shorter and lighter strap. Either finishing is fine by me. I see 2 problems with the Qoo10 strap. One is bad pin. It seems to bend. Trying to install it, reminds me of pole vault.

The other problem is there is little gap between the strap and the watch. They made the connectors too big and fat.

Anyway, I have just ordered another Milanese strap from a Shopee seller. If it is good, I will share here. Only thing is his collection of other metal straps are more for ladies.

Put the link here if good. I got one not bad.. but I use it to bathe so underneath the magnetic part became rusty.

Oh yes, now must check for rust. That's a good point. :) Charge 2 users cannot bathe with their watches, so no problem with their Milanese straps.

I have swapped my strap back to the original one. Just 6 grams more and the Milanese strap can roll down the wrist easily. I had to tighten the strap and that left a deeper mark on the skin. After 1 day, it was a bit itchy, so I decided to take a rest from the strap. Because of the extra length, there was more overlap and that also reduced breathability.

I found an important thread about Fitbit Versa complaints from the community. Please read in case it affects you.

wah nerve pain... that sounds serious!
wonder if there is any hidden damage being done even if we don't feel the pain.

Ya lor. Sounds so serious I am now imagining pain. Also wondering whether to get that gift we are planning. It is for a senior citizen. I will monitor that thread since somebody said already emailed the CEO. Hope for us the 'problem' is 打通经脉 instead. :D

And you are right. No more shop discount from Axtro and their normal price is $1 above list price. Pink colours are almost gone at Qoo10. I find the Versa price seems to be going up from its previous low. CEE is starting tomorrow. Curious if Fitbit will have any good offers.

Haha the way you say sounds like the price of versa Mimicks the stock market.

On another note, is there anyone bought a sports strap that is softer and more comfortable than the original one? charge 2 strap feels so much nicer.

Like TS, I am also looking for nice sports bands. If anybody has found a good seller, can you please share that with us? Thanks.

@rubbadubbaducky! , really sorry to see that photo. Only 1 person I have read so far managed to persuade Fitbit to swap.

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Versa/Versa-Cracked-Screen/td-p/2662104

Since yours is also less than a week old, maybe contact Fitbit, to timestamp your problem. My suggestions would be to first say you were Charge 2 user and loyal/experienced Fitbit customer and is so surprised to crack your Versa in less than a week, doing exactly the same thing. Ask if it is covered by warranty? When they say no, ask if there is any way to swap the screen, even for a fee? If they say no, ask if they can give you a discount (50% and above, target a higher level better) for a new purchase? Prepare all your bullets for last question and let them know how disappointed you are.

PS: Since you bought from Challenger, you can try asking them too. Email Fitbit and talk to Challenger at the same time.

By the way, are you wearing the original strap too tightly? I find that sleep tracking and everything else still works when I wear it a little loose. Just as long as it does not slide down. If I wear it like my Garmin, I feel uncomfortable too.

Nope I don't wear it tightly normally. Only when exercising I will put it one notch tighter. Just that I feel the bands a little too stiff. Charge 2 bands were perfect.

@rubbadubbaducky! , Your scratch is at the bevel. Screen protector alone wouldn't help. Seems like a case has a purpose after all. Hope Fitbit would help you out of goodwill. All the best!

@RocketBunny, has the TPU case arrived ? Is it easy to change ?

Axtro Sports now has 10% shop coupon and with Qoo10 $30 cart coupon (till 27 May), you can get the silver Fitbit Versa at $257.10.

Separately, it appears TPU case can cover the bevel. Technology changes so fast, and future smart watches would always have more features. This may be a better solution rubbadubbaducky!.

Hmm I find the 3rd party charger more friendly with straps compared to the original charge. The charger that encase the device. The wire doesn't block the strap.
