Should have given the TG!334 higher priority as they are hard to come by.

Yup absolutely true bro. Do share the same sentiments as well like u. Sometimes in terms of music enjoyment/listening is not all just abt technical capability or abt outstanding treble/bass quality, it's also how yr gears manage to render yr music library with gd emotive/touching ability. And the PF VIII/IX/X certainly does this area extremely well w/o any questions asked for me personally.

I do have the plastic enclosure housing PFII"s but its not the retail production model, it's the free one that was given with Headphone Book 2011 published by CD Journal, a japanese book publisher in JP, not sure if there are any SQ differences btw this and the normal retail ver of PFII's, but btw this and my PF IX's the latter is def much better in overall resolution/mids/treble, just so much better there is no comparison here at all. Build wise is also diff as PFII's are made in Philippines same as their Adagio series (forgotten was it V or III) but anyway since it's a free bundled earbud, nth much to complain for me lols.

Got time maybe I will try start a new discussion thread abt FAD next time, we can prob continue our discussion frm there, don't wanna incur the wrath of Lubick korkor liaos.

I thought the one in the Mook is a PF1? Haha, didn't know where it's made in. Is it Japan made? If yes, I need to go get it!!!

PF2 just simply reminds me of those old redifusion radio, or a gramophone. It's just that feel and it's enough for me. If someone buys a pf2 hoping to get a ue700 or whatever, then they are in for a big big disappointment. Hahaha.

No elite. To be honest since 2011 I also done alot of side-grading also, from selling DBA-02 to a fellow local forumer to getting back the exact same iem in the form of another japanese manufacturer model just diff model name nia.

The amount of money I actually spent on side-grading/OT-railing to other brands, now I think back if I stay focused last time, I could prob have the moola to hoot moi Monet/dream ATH desktop amp liaos.


And now, Fitear is back to haunt me again with more gears side-grading.

Not fair to compare like that.
The signatures are different.

435 is crystal clear with tight and accurate bass.
334's highlight is the bass weight and decay, and the fantastic timbre.

Depends on what kind of sound u prefer.
Certain people will not like 435's lean and clear signature, despite it being flagship.

I bought the headphone book quite early back in 2011, threw away the box packaging long ago since the free earbuds are just encased in a plastic packaging, not packaged in those nice boxes like the ones that u usually see comes with the usual PF/heaven series. I can't rem exactly whether the model is called PF1's or PF II, I only know based on past article coverages reported by AV Impress Watch/Phileweb, all 3 models share the same driver (15.5mm CCAW dynamic) with e same kind of plastic enclosure housing/designs as seen also in this blog article review.

According to the above japanese reviewer, I believe there is no change in their SQ signature description so they prolly sound the same as well though I had nv actually listen to the FI-DC1550 series for myself, as I found their design to be boring/unenticing last time and back since 2009/2010, I alrdy have my own fair share of earbud listening experiences especially with my very own pair of the CM700Ti's, as well as the Yuin PK/Ninewaves Studio series which are all very well-regarded dynamic earbuds out there avail on the market for quite sometime alrdy.

Uh nope, the free FAD earbuds bundled with the headphone mook has no indication or label markings of where its made from, at the back column of the plastic box it just says designed by Final Audio Design. But I did recalled personally on the retail boxes for the FI-DC1550 (PF IIs), at the back it is indeed written as made in Philippines. The headphone book sold by CD Journal costs only 2000 yen, you expect something this cheap to be MIJ? Haha you ish wait nong nong lor.


With the exception of heaven IV as well as some Adagio series, IIRC the rest of e heaven series/FI-BA-SS and Piano Forte VIII/IX/X series are all made in Japan so far, with their drivers properly hand-matched and tuned individually to minimise L/R channel mismatching, something like what Etymotics are doing only for their ER4 series and Sony's are also doing this too with their higher-end EX monitor series (not XBA series though).

That's pretty much what I know regarding FAD and their line-up production/product history so far.
