And I've still yet to see u...

Yup true bro, have yet to see you too. Judging from our past conversations with u guys, I would rly love to meet u, kenz and Randius as I believe we might hit it off pretty well. Dunch worry there will be a chance for us to catch up over coffee next time. I'm also having plans to revive that ATH local meet that I was originally planning to do over CNY earlier this yr but didn't get to do so, but now's not the time for that maybe I will schedule something agn when I'm much more free tgt with Randius's help.

Despite my years as an audiophile, I've never heard a high end Final Audio IEM.
Hope to have a chance to audition them soon.

Opps Joe dropping hints to me liaos. Haha no worries I'll just bring along my pair of PF IX's next time when we're meeting up together.

That review was done when I wasn't yet a Toxic cable dealer.
Given my status now, I refrain from discussing any issues relating to cables, unless asked specifically about Toxic cables.
This is so I avoid any conflict of interests.

Thanks for ur understanding in advance.
:)

How much is the Scorpion Toxic Cable ?
Can it be used on Fitear ?

Thanks.

This is what Frank of Toxic Cable posted in HeadFi 2 days ago:

"I do currently have 2 Fitear cables on order, although i am not taking any further orders on these, till these 2 customers confirm that everything works as it should. I don't have a pair of these IEM's myself, so unable to test the cables myself.

Please check back in a couple of months."

Are there any demos there at jaben? Bringing a friend to Hoot one later.

If talking abt FitEar custom demos, no Jaben doesn't have any demos avail right now atm. I was reading up on Head-fi earlier on Mon nite after been to their store tat evening, apparently over at the FAD appreciation thread someone said Jaben was attending some audio show in Kuching, Malaysia. So most likely the demos were loaned out to Jaben Malaysia during this period since there were a couple of FAD Pandoras I didn't see in store yet featured there, mostly likely new stock just arrived.

If referring to FAD Piano Forte series excluding the plastic enclosure made model PF II's, Jaben only has stock currently for the VIII, there's none for IX/X. Alrdy asked recently as brought my friend there to enquire on pricing and avail regarding the PF's since he was int in checking them out after hearing my own pair of IX's.

FAD Piano Forte series u nv tried b4 at Jaben last time? But honestly I don't think u will appreciate the poison much given u started out yr audio journey quite early with those satki satki customs b4. The resolution definition/treble strength of the Piano Forte series really is lose out even to the average of the mile dual-driver iems such as those utilising TWFKs like the CK10/DBA-02 or perhaps even the MDR-EX1000's dynamics. They just don't have the kind of atsounding clarity that wows u like from those typical TOTL multi-BA iems, so if u are expecting something like that u could be disappointed, very very disappointed.
:s13:

But if you do like a focused sound, gd 3D-holographic and believable wide soundstage with a hall-like presence/sense of space, with excellent finesse/lushness in terms of its mids presentation with good body/timbre realism, then yesh the PF's may be your kind of thing. But because horn speakers typically their nature of how these usually works ala the way they project the sound, bass frequency rolloff is much obvious and cuts off earlier than yr average DD/BA iems, you won't feel much of the rumbles/low-end reverbs especially from 70-80hz downwards as it starts rolling off from tat pt.

In terms of treble brightness the PF IX's are considered very 'polite' too, as I said best described as non-offensive to almost anyone's ears, this one you can have my word as I came from using Grados/ATH gears when I was just starting out into this hobby and I'm sure u may have also noticed in some of my discussed posts in some threads, i'm a self-professed treble-oriented listener/lover.

But I do not lie when I say the PF IX's are a pair of very musically-involving iems, or rather concha earbuds (since these don't insert into anyone's ear completely at all). It's precisely because of the way how it manage to move me with it's 'musical talents' or the way how it shapes up and renders my music library that's why I was willing to spend slightly more than 1.2K, when I could have top up abit more and gone for a top-tier customs monitor or a well-regarded pair of ATH W-series like the W3000 or W5000 series.

MTL, Mr Bevan u know u want it. Go hoot the PF series bah.

Your customs route journey history is alrdy way MORE satki than me liaos. Still have CK100 reshelled history/experience somemore, can defeat me this ATH manwhore until gao gao liaos with yr satki experience. Mai act humble pie hokays.
:(:(

Ohhs, I used to have the EX81/EX82LP series as well. :s34: I like the rubber ear gliders for EX82, always twist and twist rast time when nth to do. But their wires eventually give way and break down abt within a yr later, then nv go re-terminate them just throw away and move on liaos.

Ohh, I feel ya bro. :(
Anyway IIRC, ATH did state on their products boxes specifications for their product may change w/o notice, and I think the CK100 u got is pre-late 2009 batch one. I gathered frm some older 2ch japanese discussions b4, from 2009 Winter onwards ATH actually changed the material for the strain reliefs portion on their CK100, they changed to hard resin which is also on my current pair of CK100's now.

If i nv rem wrongly judging frm the previous demo sets I tried in JP last time, I believe certain earlier batches of CK100 the strain relief is made up of rubberish material, same material as found on my current CK9/CK10. This is not the case for the latter batches of CK100, this one I can confirm for u as I bought my bnib set in Dec 2011.

I think i might post some pics just for comparison to clarify abt this issue, next time on ATH appreciation thread instead when im free as don't wanna go further OT.

Oops sorry! I didn't see your reply. Thanks anyway! Anyways, c435 is more suited to classical music right? And any recommendation for a suitable dap for it?

Haha the ath thread too power for me riaos, I only owned a es7 and esw9 at a point in time.. Now many satki stuff in there

Pruss moi audio journey was 60% 'newbie see items just hoot syndrome' (ck100, sf5p, w3, um3x, ie8) 30% exploratory (4A after a long hiatus) and now the last 10% is refining for the sound sig moi likes

Nothing much unlike the elites these days see flagship straight hoot all the way up. Moi gotch do progressive and side-grade journey huan k :(

Precisely. There are many iems in the market that can give you details etc etc.
but none that can evoke my emotion the way PF does, and better still, half the time, you don't even notice it's there.....
