Tried the demo units at FitEar booth today and the white prototype is right on the mark. Almost similar sound signature to CK10/100. Not impressed by TG334, 335 and Paterre at all.

I second Randius sentiments on the white prototype universals which is supposedly an alternative make ver of Parterre as rumoured. From my various switching of songs from vocals to instrumentals, the white prototype definitely grabbed my attention and presentation was extremly clean, detailed and natural, and there is enough sparkle/upfront presentation for my personal tastes. I will even go as far out to say this is an extremely refined ver of ATH's CK10/CK100Pro IEMs, which Randius agreed with me to an extent when we chatted abt it earlier tday.

Apparently there are speculations floating ard at the event the white prototype is supposed to be only either a single or dual-driver BA. (the black Parterre's are confirmed to be a dual-BA model as covered under japanese site reports) If this is the kind of sonic presentation/quality that dual-drivers can give, I'm thinking tat I can perhaps start worshipping Mr. Keita Suyama as my fav kami-sama very soon.

I wouldn't go as far out to say I was unfazed/disappointed by the TG334/Parterre's, these were much more fantastic and better-sounding to me than Shure's latest SE846's definitely given my short experience despite that someone shared in this forum that the SE846's are a pair of very neutral and natural beast (i managed to actually confirm with some of the bros there who attended the show on Sat that the latest Shures' flagship def doesn't sound anything neutral at all, and its overall mids presentation was extremely disappointing to me frankly speaking)

But yesh, quite luckily i think i can now cross off my WTB list for the Parterre's finally, and concentrate on hooting the AT-HA5000. Cause I will be waiting for the white prototype to be commercially available instead.
:D

:) Really great meeting you too, Haonan.

Sure. The HM-901 & TA-1 will be ready when you're able to meet up. E1 is a convenient place to chill and try gears too. :D

I tried the 846. It was mehhhhh.
Not shure if it's my source or not but My friend tried it. Then I tried it. Then I ask my friend to try on my triple fi. We both felt that the triple fi sounded better by miles.

Fitear 334 finally sounds WAY MORE correct than the previous one. In fact 334 is jin bassy for me liao... 333 is just nice but lack rumbling.

However the Pattere is interesting... and the white color prototype... fuuuuyoooo

Is that question directed at me? Yesh I did tried the SE846's at the event yest, i left it as the last item to audition because I have read quite abit of its user impressions from Head-fi/various Hongkong forums and roughly know what to expect.

My own reactions wasn't that critical/harsh in that i did not put it down immediately after 10 secs like what Joe basically did, but if u want my honest and brutal opinion, even using quite well-known female vocalists with wide vocal range such as ayaka/Qu Wanting, the SE846's failed to capture my attention at all. I basically rotated btw 2-3 female vocal songs, and tried it again with a male vocal (Kubota Toshinobu if anyone knows him) and put down b4 passing it to a fellow bro, while shaking my head to him in disgust at the same time.

I have to clarify upfront, when i demoed these I tried them with only the default blue filter (aka balanced), i did not request to change this to the bright filter at all, which boosts the midrange by a few dBs frm 1kHz to 8kHz from what I understand from preview coverages.

Someone on the official SE846 discussion thread has actually commented that Shures' latest offering has very neutral and natural presentation, with liquid mids. I'm sorry to say, but i couldn't hear the so called natural presentation and liquid mids at all. There are at least 2 bros there at the event with me who agreed and shared my consensus, lol.

White color prototype is actually another alternative variant of Parterre, according to what Suyama-san shared with us on Sat. He's aiming for a end of yr/early-2014 release date, nothing is confirmed now except that I know that the white-colored prototype is tuned more for mainstream pops, while the original black Parterre is tuned more for classical and is suitable for long hrs listening w/o inducing fatigue. (I actually confirmed this with Suyama-san at the event)

But if u want to know my personal opinion, i personally think that in terms of the overall presentation the Parterre is a little too laid-back for my own preference. Both me and Randius bro felt that the white-colored variant suited our own listening tastes more actually.

So the MH334 is just a custom version of the TG!334? Sound wise any difference? If it sounds exactly the same, it would cost $700 more just to make it custom molded to your ears.

Yup. Not sure about the sound wise but the bass may be less "meaty" since it's going through acrylic instead of the silicon tips.

Not sure if it's worth the extra $700 premium.

Which i'm giving the MH334 a pass for now and focusing on the JH series.

Ops! Thanks for correcting, Nakedtoes. :)
That's correct.

So the MH334 may likely sound warmer than the TG334 due to the tube difference.
