The content creator also mentioned that salaries in Thailand is about 70% to 80% less than Singapore, also not much commercial activities/opportunities to earn money.

You are absolutely correct, Singapore has a lot of opportunities to earn money. EDMW recently got a thread on how a PHV driver earned SGD$10k a month, just driving PHV car. It's really whether a person wants to go out earn money in Singapore.

How is Thailand food prices, say Bangkok or Chiangmai or Hatyai ?

A typical meal (like chicken rice, cai png, noodles etc) is what price range ?

Bangkok is easy:

If you eat anything similar level as Singapore (for example, food court/restaurant that are aircon, with waitressing service etc), then the prices are the same as Singapore

Bangkok is no longer cheap. Their services such as hairdressing at aircon mall is MORE expensive than Singapore.

Only cheap eats are those street side stalls, push carts with two tables at road side

Objective comparison, I think Singapore is doing relatively ok

Singapore salaries are actually very high compared to the value of the work you are doing

Then if you don't spend on your money on expensive stuff, such as private housing, car, alcohol, ciggy, piaking at Geylang, gambling at Casino etc ... then your cost of living is actually quite low (compared to the salary you are earning)

Hawker food are still affordable (no longer ""cheap" but still affordable), similarly public transport such as bus and MRT are still affordable (again, no longer "cheap"). BTO flats are affordable too.
