The newer hawker really CMI.

In general, yearly price increase of 20% or more is acceptable and normal and should increase more ?

increment based on percentage point is a bit misleading (that’s why some govt like to use it), while actual life might not be so lol
also depending on the essential and non essential items to discussion.

Eg, a kopi o cost $1, after cny $1.20, its a incredible increase of 20% when actually is 20 cents more only. Of cos 1 may argue still a slight increase, so maybe buying from econ minimart and brew urself every morning, 3in1 packet still same price in shop.

if a minister earning 1 million pa, pay increase 80000, he can say he only 8% low increments only, which is true, based on percentile.
