Looking for a new ISP for gaming and streaming solely.

(WOW/Overwatch, Youtube, Minx TV box)

Staying in Serangoon area.

Any recommendation?

Currently on MR old plan (~$70/month). Didn't recontract as not sure if its good as i am experiencing poor quality when streaming. Gaming around 100 MS. Willing to pay slightly more if both of those can have tremendous improvement and stability.

Lowest latency would always be VQ from experience, friends get 0-2 ms ping on local BF4 server lol. Personally using M1 non-gaming plan 5ms on BF4 and OW.

Check respective ISP threads as well regarding quality though both are hit or miss but I can personally vouch for M1.

I would recommend VQ cause of their route. They can help you optimize the route on request.

ok! is VQ stable?

From what i can gather from reading VQ thread for 2-3 mnths is that VQ quite a bit of downtime and video buffering issues(?) But my friends on VQ never encounter such downtime recently. :s11:

The optimisation seldom occurs overnight. It might be too beautiful a picture to paint.

So far m1's gamepro plan allows users to ha e optimised routes for popular games. If you happen to be gaming on those cold games and lag, unlikely they will entertain your request.

Viewqwest on the other hand offers greater flexibility in acceding to requests but do note that they have their own set of problems as shown on the forums.

For Starhub, no comment. No relevant experience from me..

For Singtel, gaming is kind of optimised but occasionally you will have the rubber banding effect. If you can invest in a better router, then latency won't be affected when you simultaneous traffic from other users. My family has 1 hard-core gamer and 1 hard-core media person, so far no huge lag from the gamer and that the media person is also downloading large media files with good speed.

Think twice for every intended action as you will be bound for 2 years..

Ahh optimise the route sounds good

u want listen to friends or forums?
Friend may be the lucky one who has no issue or can not notice the issue.
Forums are very accurate because there is a super super big pool of users. Recently many users have jumped ship and many say service has went down and the good old days are all over.

Currently using M1 1gbps $39/mth, low latency as low as 5ms (playing cs:go) - connect through wireless somemore.

If you don't mind to paying more, then get M1 GamingPro $49/mth, you have your own static IP.

Been using M1 without any problem. 5ms for Dota and Overwatch. Using 300Mbps only at $29/mth and it's more than enough. Very important is a good router.

Other than occasional M1 Fibre DNS server outages (which change DNS to OpenDNS or Google DNS can fix), M1 Fibre is up and running most of the time.

Sometimes there is higher ping due to service issue, but all in all the occasional hiccups is worth given the fact that you'll save a lot. Both M1 Fibre is cheaper and also the M1 Mobile discounts.

Actually in singapore we have very limited choice and in term of performance it is all the same, speed so so only. Fibre is not as fast as the isp may claim. Many came to M1 because of pricing.
