Yes, I agree that going to showrooms and a visit to the actual site is necessary. I went down to Forett and Ki, at the end of the day, I chose the latter since I prefer a more tranquil environment with a view.

Congrats with your purchase!
If you are comfortable, would you like to share your thinking/buying processes on your decision?

Congrats with your purchase!
If you are comfortable, would you like to share your thinking/buying processes on your decision?

1) I grew up in the area, so I'm familiar.
2) I'm not averse to walking or taking public transport. Though I do drive occasionally our family car. Developer is also building a sheltered walkway to the Maju camp bus stop along Clementi Road. The free and subsidised shuttle is a bonus (though this is not critical IMHO). In any case, there is actually a shorter way if you are going to Clementi MRT via 185 and 189 along Clementi Ave 6.
3) I generally like being close to nature and dislike built-up areas with noise and pollution.
4) If I were to rent it out in future, there is likely some interest from nearby SUSS/Ngee Ann students or lecturers etc. Either way, rental income isn't really a major consideration for me.
5) I'm looking for mostly mid to long-term stay for myself, so a 999 year property would not depreciate by much compare to other 99 leasehold projects like Clavon or Parc Clementis.
6) I am not going to sell my property immediately for profits and should be able to hold on to it.
7) Forett is in Toh Tuck and while it is much closer to Beauty World MRT, it is not near to my workplace (unlike Ki) and it has already quite a number of other condo developments that may add to rental competition or traffic congestion. Ki might be relatively remote but it is the only new condo launch in the Sunset area in like 20 years?
8) Having a nice unblocked view of either landed property in Sunset or Bukit Timah Hill is the icing on the cake. All 10 12 storey blocks have unblocked views. And if you pick a higher level, the view will be breathtaking.
9) I like the Japanese inspired theme, landscaping and the condo facilities and can see practical uses for most (with the exception of a so-called Glamping deck which is really just an ordinary deck IMHO).
10) The blocks are all well-spaced (you won't get neighbours peering into your home).
11) There is a jogging track within the condo! I am an avid jogger. And like most condo, this one has at least a 50m lap pool too for a good swim workout (luckily, no silly aqua bikes etc). I can also jog to the nearby Ulu Pandan Park Connector.

You see, my thought process is influenced by my personal preferences and my lifestyle choices.

Thanks for sharing. Great that the project fits your needs and expectation. I do like the green over the area.:)
