Hanoi Summit 2019

The most important risk event is over. Market (forex and stocks) will price out the risk. :s13:

Just remember the biggest "market makers" and prata kings are the Fed and Uncle Trump. The rest is just noise. :s13:

As for the strength of USD it all depends on Uncle Powell and team if they are going to keep prataing words to prop up the markets.

My call is USD/SGD will range 1.34-1.36 in short term. MAS most likely will pause the slope of S$NEER in April's policy statement if they are less bullish from now till April.

Why Australia's next GDP report could see the RBA cut rates

Australia is screwed. They thought they can follow Trump and ban Huawei and nothing will happen. Now China's one port is banning Australia Coal imports and Australia already is struggling with their housing crisis is going to get hit even more. What about all the Chinese money and tourists pouring into Australia now? They are properly screwed.

One can talk and act like Trump only if you are the USA. USA gained world dominance through WWII victory.

Nations who kum gong and blindly follow USA's political chess moves are foolish.

China can also use its tourist money as a weapon to affect the economies of nations. Eg. Thailand and South Korea. Don't pray pray. :s13:

EUR/JPY is making some bullish moves this week. Manipulation again? Haha. :D

You don't have to worry what happens to international financial markets. Just diversify your forex exposure risk into a basket of major currencies. There is a reason why I copy MAS's model. You ever hear MAS lose money before? :s13:

Stocks and bonds can go to zero but not forex.

Latest victims are the Hyflux junk bond holders. Their bonds going to zero is a possibility.

Hi all, have some noobie questions and appreciate if you gurus can share your opinion.

Have recently started following EURUSD.

1) When FED announced a dovish stance towards further rate hike in Dec18, Wouldn't the USD be expected to weaken? It as been in the same range bound 1.12-1.14 as before the announcement since. Not a significant announcement? What did I miss here?

2) Is EURUSD co-related to DJI?
In the 5 day chart, there is usually the same significant movement in both charts, just that it is not consistent in direction. Sometimes they move in same direction, other times opposite.

3) What is your 12-months expectation of EURUSD and why?

I look forward to your enlightenment.
Million thanks in advance.

1. I think many people already expects FED to be dovish, hence not much reaction. If FED suddenly turn hawkish, I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of action. :D

2. I think EUR/USD have weak co-relation to DJI.

Just my two cents..

eurusd
very long term weak

I have this question, in the 90s Japan has this severe deflation and lost decade, where the stock markets plunged and Yen rise sharply. Europe is now in the same situation as Japan was. Why is Euro not rising?
