Checked with my cust service office. Seems like they only have USD/CNH, (CNH = offshore yuan)
And the spread is like 6pip![]()

This pair the spread is usually wide. Same as all EM currencies.
I do not trade USD/CNH. I only hold CNY for Fixed Income. Rates going up in China. Swee.![]()
What are your thoughts on trade war? Textbook economics tell me CNY will depreciate to maintain China export.

May I comment?
China is trying to woo European nations with its lowering of import tariffs. China is determined to push the One Belt One Road initiative. Also considering petroyuan coming along, an appreciating CNY should help alot.

Luckily I got 25% of my whole portfolio investment in China, may be can consider as a farmer when I retire hahaAll priced in. Big Boys taking profits and selling off.
Just ignore the rubbish comments from that joker. Let him talk to himself.
Hahaha on a serious note on both of you opinions. Firstly you must understand CNY sets a daily central parity rate against a basket of trade weighted currencies. Appreciation or depreciation is relative to against which currency you are talking about.
PBOC is also very flip flop when it comes to currency strength as long as it serves their short or mid term goals. As of now PBOC is cutting back on liquidity to manage deleveraging efforts. Near term means currency strength and borrowing rate is upside. However it may change when a new situation arises in their economy.
When I started talking about the pros of CNY a few years so many pundits doubt my bullish calls just like some jokers saying my No Stop Loss strategy is suicidal. From my experience holding CNY assets long term is not an issue. Majority of my assets is in CNY. Estimated 70%.
Trust me if you got extra money to speculate or park. Get some hard assets in China. Hold 100% cash or government bonds if you want liquidity.
Wow suddenly so much interest on Renminbi?![]()
