Shengsiong has frozen rice dumplings inside freezer near entrance. Also has thawed rice dumplings. The double layer of bamboo leaf enough to protect the inside why still need plastic wrapper? Vacuum sealed then make sense to be plastic wrapped.

Most of the online rice dumplings are delivered in frozen state.

Most of the supermarkets, hotels, bakeries brands rice dumplings near dumplings festival are frozen made many months ago. Only some brands like joo chiat and eastern dumplings that see them wrap the rice dumplings inside shop are freshly made. Can see wrapping rice dumplings inside shop can assume is frozen.
