I'm back after 3-4 years!!!

Gonna start from Square 1 again, but progress at a slower pace this time.

21 years old currently, serving the NS and gonna ORD in 6months time.

New Year's Resolution is to get back my peak lift strength (while i was younger) before i ORD.

Currently my weight is 61.5kg roughly, aiming to gain another 1.5kg of muscles while losing more fats. Too much food in camp, although SFI sucks...

My plan would still be Stronglift 5x5, and will be doing it once every 2 days. My current schedule in NS is 2 day shift (9am-9pm), 2 night shift (9pm-9am), and 48 hours off. Intending to do my workout on my 1st day shift, 1st night shift and 1st off day everytime.

Session 1 of Year 2015
3rd Jan 2015
Time: 7.50pm
Venue: Paya Lebar Airbase Gym (sh1t gym... No squat rack, using those smith machine that can move forward/backward/up/down... What to do?.... It's free and I'm using my office hour to workout lol)

Sets x Reps

Squats:
1x10 Empty Bar
1x5 5kg per side
1x5 10kg per side
5x5 20kg per side

Bench Press:
1x10 Empty Bar
1x5 5kg per side
5x5 10kg per side

Barbell Rows:

Session 2 of 2015.
5th Jan 2015
Time: 10:30pm

Fked up my session, forgot squats and deadlifts were increase by 2.5kg per session.... Session 3 will bump it up to 25kg per side squats.

Squats:
1x10 Empty Bar
1x5 10kg per side
5x5 21.25kg per side. [With 1 attempted muscle-up after each set]

Seated Shoulder Press:
1x5 Empty Bar
1x5 2.5kg per side
5x5 5kg per side

Deadlifts
1x10 Empty Bar
1x5 10kg per side
1x5 20kg per side

Did a couple more attempted muscle-up after deadlifts.
Can't seem to get the damn bar under my chest area.... Not even momentum helps.
Don't know is my technique wrong or i just suck at it lol. Can do 18 Pullups but can't even do 1 muscle-up properly :/

Also attempted muscle-up on my session 1, and my core muscles seems to ache the next day....

Skipped a session 2 days ago, went to swimming and Tramboline park instead.

Session 3 of 2015
9th Jan 2015
Time: 7.40pm

Squats:
1x10 Empty Bar
1x5 10kg per side
5x5 25kg per side
Guess i fked up again, actually is increase squat weights by 1.25kg per session, not 2.5kg.... 2.5kg is for deadlifts instead :/ Shall do 25kg again on next session...

Bench Press:
1x10 Empty Bar
1x5 5kg per side
5x5 11.25kg per side.

Barbell Rows:
1x10 Empty Bar
1x5 5kg per side
5x5 21.25kg per side

Others:
5 attempted muscleups after barbell rows. Didn't manage to do a single muscle up... Almost there, need to get my body to lean forward more so i can get my chest over the bar...

Think I'm skipping tmr's gym session.

Something is definitely wrong.

When i bend my head forward and downwards, my lower spine area works.
It's around asscrack to the lower back area.... Very sharp pain....

That was one of the reasons why i stopped Gym, and now it's back again...

Or maybe i'll just work on bench press and stuff like that...

sounds alot like what I experienced

I dropped my squat frequency, and switched to sumo pulls. Also spent much more time with the roller, and lower body stretching.

It's not totally gone (still feel it when I squat sometimes) but I don't feel that pain everytime I bend over to put on my shoes or stuff like that

:)

Maybe you should go and see Aldrin or someone similar, since the doc has ruled out spine injury
