frustrating westone rma

guess you have to send an email to USA and see if they are willing to take it in and how much charges are they going to impose..

but do note its CES time...and they probably are busy and might not come back to you until couple of days later..

ahh no wonder.. i sent an email a day or two ago and i have not heard from them yet.

according to some other guys in the forum, they can do an exchange foc...

I bought UM1 from some1 over here (w/o receipt since he lost it) & he claimed that he bought from Jaben on Dec 09.
Fair enough the 1 yr local warranty is over. However, the warranty card is still with me & I have noticed that the westone warranty registration is within 90 days of purchase & they dont allow transfer of ownership. Is there hope of getting warranty from Westone at this point in time even though i send the warranty card over to US?

on a side note, my ue tf10 takes 5-6 weeks for rma with local warranty. send for rma 3 times, 12 months warranty like only 7 months.

Mine was years back way before Westone have a distributer here and my UM2 is out of warranty. So I just send them an email and they asked me to ship in my UM2 to them and they'll take care of the rest. I only have to pay for the cheapest registered shipping to USA. They covered the rest including the impressive 3 day Fedex shipping to SG.

Skm is responsible for distribution of the um1,2,3 and westone 1,2,3 while thinking group serves the rest.

I heard of tat too. But when I emailed Westone where should I RMA my UM1, they say its Thinking Group. They didn't mention Skm at all.....

i send my um3x for rma at skm which is the local distributor .. 3 weeks later i got a new set from them.
