frustrating westone rma

LOL. i'm on my 3rd week waiting for my RMA for um3... still waiting.

update on my set. after 1 month n a complaint letter later.

i pick it up @ skm and was told only the spoiled part was replaced ( left speaker ) i send in left speaker for no sound . maybe it was the ear plug or the new part is unburn in. it sound lower and muffled like hearing different thing in different ear.

they come in those small transparent plastic bag like those ear foams sold in stereo. somembody mention u get new box when rma? its not for me despite still in warranty period of less than 1 year.

the girl offer me another set to try ( someone else's return) . that set is good , and told the girl this set sound good. so i take it despite not knowing history ( they suppose to be replacement also but then my set only replace spoiled part so dunno this set replace what) . i dun want to waste time coming back to woodlands again so i just take the alt set and left

Update on my RMA! My UM1 was sent by the mailman today afternoon, 19days after it was posted out. Not too bad, considering its a brand new set

i dun think they will give you a brand new one... i felt is rather refurbished set

how u know is brand new? new box? knn it seems better to spoil between 1year- > 2year period than within 1 year where u get a refurbish part from distributor

I got ask them when I repair my UM3X before... they claim that they will repair on your unit then send the same exact unit back.

they told me no repair. new replacement but its jus dodgy. i mean if they ship a new 1 from HK distro ... how come , come back in those resealable transparent bag ( aka comply tips plastic bag like in stereo)
