Read what you asked again...

You put no money inside FSM after opening an account, how are they going to charge you for zero holdings...You telling me you leave zero dollars can be used to purchase zero dollars worth of bonds? So Platform Fee on Zero is how much?

https://secure.fundsupermart.com/fsm/new-to-fsm/pricing-structure

Again read the pricing structure, it is not the difficult to understand...

You said no platform fee in your previous reply, but i just quoted platform fees from their page.

Yes it sounds intuitive to you when you've been using it for long, but not necessarily for someone that's new to this platform; which is exactly the reason why I had to ask. :s22::s22:

Nonetheless thank you for your humble response.

Can anyone recall if FSMone charges platform fees? Or inactivity fees?

I remembered they made some changes to their fee structure 1-2 years ago. Right now I’m thinking of doing a lump sum into ES3, and maybe again 6 months down the road, but am worried of any hidden fees inside

They clearly state that "0% (No Charges)" for ETF, Stocks, Managed Portfolio and Auto-Sweep Account...

If you telling me that FSM classify ES3 not as an ETF but as a Bond, it is 0.05% platform fee...Or if FSM classify ES3 as an SGS Bond, you need to pay 0.025% platform fees...

Has anyone had problems with FSMone calculating the wrong purchasing power? I found a few thousand missing against my own records. Talked to the CSO and she calculated the same as i did and so had to raise it to the technical team... Lets hope mine is an isolated case...

Are you on margin? Isn't the purchasing power just your cash balance?

Nope.. I am just trying this platform for a week to see how it goes.

Just topping up into my cash account and purchases/sales in SGX stocks. No auto sweep account etc. I would think this is something very very straighforward and not complicated to cause a discrepancy in calculation.

Purposely kept no position today to check out the purchasing power thing and so heng i caught something. Economy isin't doing well and i hope mine is just an isolated case.

seeking your opinion
if the goal is to buy an etf like a rsp every month
right now I manually got to scb buy the same etf every month
would FSMone be a good selection? currently using SCB but the exchange rate is really bad.

Thank you

FSM only got those listed in Singapore, Hong Kong and USA, if the ETF is not listed in the RSP or from the country, you can't buy it using FSM...So your option is only to buy from SCB or any other brokers which allow you to purchase the ETF that you want...

is it possible to transfer ETF holding from DBS to FSM?

If you bought using DBS Vickers, it will be in your CDP account right? Why do you want to pay money to transfer from CDP to FSM when you can link your CDP to FSM and sell your shares on FSM...

If he transfer from DBS Treasures to FSM and next time another brokers got promo, will he transfer from FSM to the other broker? How many times he willing to pay the transfer fees...If transfer to CDP, can just link to any brokers to sell...

If the transfer allows him to be silver tier client and above, then it makes sense as commission will be fixed at $10. Transferring to cdp doesn't give you this benefit

Some have no choice but to transfer from one broker to another (for better deals) and pay the transfer fee (and may still be worth the cost). Not all trade can go CDP, even if can. I already mentioned why one cannot have it as one wishes.
