thats a really good point which i have overlook totally.. :o

this is why we need a forum, share and discuss .

i guess the dividend will have to subject the 30% but let me confirm with FSM on this.

I have been using FSM one for about 2.5 years now. If anybody need help I can help.

1. Dividend handling fee
SGX : No fee for SGD denominated stock,
for USD-denominated stocks (e.g HK land , HPH trust USD) there is a 3 USD charge

HKEX: No handling charges.

Amercian: 30% witholding tax on gross dividend if you pay singapore taxes plus an additional 2.50 usd (+ gst) on the gross dividend.

great, good to have you and willing to share. :)

i'm kinda new to FSM RSP, currently enroll on the CFA and ES3.
the fee is good, only $1.07, regardless of amount for RSP.

I'm actually keen in the NYSE: FTEC & VT too, thinking if its feasible since there's 30% tax imposed.
new to this 2 ETF and not much write up online on them too.
the charges is also USD $1.08 with GST

For HKEX, is there any withholding tax?
i read there's none, just to re confirm.
but the choices in FSM RSP counter under HKEX are very limited and not attractive

under FSM, how does
Total Expense Ratio & Management Fee, really works?

depends,

FSM is only good to me if you are doing RSP.
refer to my earlier post.

as for ad hoc buy, i'm still with SCB,
as the fee is the same with FSM.
just they will give some cash credit back if you hold saving account with them.

Do you have a multi-currency acct with SCB? I only have a Dash acct with them and I always buy SGD stock. I did wonder how to cash out in USD from SCB.

At least I know FSM can issue a USD Check to my designated bank acct which is mutlicurrency.

Qn. The shares held in custody by FSMOne is ring-fenced but what about cash held with them?

I also did my first RSP deduction in FSM this month. Can I see each month how many units were purchased (sort of like history transaction) or that each month I have to calculate by taking the BEFORE and AFTER balance? I am referring to within the FSM portal or app.

Thanks.

For anyone interested, FSM RSP for ES3 this month is at $2.5971...

Go to "My Historical Transactions", it will show you the Investment Amount, Transacted Price, Quantity and Total Fee...
