Hi all. Need some help. Few weeks back i asked some questions about my labtop being too noisy. what i did was i went to sim lim and the guy in one pc repair shop told me that by cleaning the labtop, it might solve the problem. with all due respect to the store guy, how true is he's statement? I figured out that the noise might be created when the labtop is under heavy workload or has been running for sometime. iF true then by adding ram to the labtop, can i solve the problem?

Another problem i just faced today is that when i start up the labtop, the screen shows that there is a fan loading error. Is my fan gone? I genuinely hope anyone out there can reply and help me out with these question. Thanks alot.

Well,

Do you have warranty?

If yes, go to the service center. Complain to them and get it fixed.

If no, does it really annoyed you? Does it really get super noisy? Maybe you may only need some maintenance or cleaning up, which is not exactly the fan at fault. Just try to find a store that is willing to open up and blow away the dust stucked.

Ic. THanks alot for your help

Well, the best person to answer to your question immediately and solve it thereafter will be Service Center. Why are you trying the whole world except for the service center?

I will rather put in this way, the fan is not noisy by itself but it is the dust collected around the fan that caused it to be noisy. The environment play a part where the laptop is being used.

Just go to the Service Center and ask for their advice nicely they will surely change for you. Dont need to go and complaint there and here one what. Singaporean loves to complaint and advice ppl to go complaint. sigh...

Thanks alot for your help

Well i figured that thats the whole point of this forum (INTERACTION). I think if we can rectify problems through service centers alone , then we would not share our problems with one another and others in the future with similar problems wihh have no referance such as this forum. And also i believe there are alot of experts in this forum to share their views.

When you have a noisy machine there is a few possible problem, things that will cause noisy

- Fan Faulty
- Hard disk faulty
- Optical drive faulty

inside all these FAN has the highest chance of causing the noise, I did not look at your machine I cannot confirm with you, just hear where the noise came from and u should be able to determine what cause the noise, anyway all these need to sent to service center either change or clean.

when you boot up the computer after fujitsu logo, u hear beeping sound and it display "Fan Error", no need to think already, your fan confirm spoil, please sent to service center to get it replace, at this point, even cleaning up fan won't work, have to replace.

Well, rather than getting others to fixed your notebook when you still have warranty. Why not get it fixed via the Service Center where your notebook is at specialist care? (Well, in such case where ESPECIALLY people who are well-versed in ONLY fujitsu notebook.)

So you may take that I am personally here not sharing, not contributing but to push you to the service center. :)

My 2 cents.

It is natural for liquid crystal displays (LCD) to show a small number of missing or discoloured dots. These are commonly known as non-conforming pixels.
This is a technology limitation of LCD and does not represent a defect. It does not reduce the performance of the product. FPCA warranty does not cover limitations in technology such as non-conforming pixels. The acceptable number of such non-conforming pixels on the LCD screen of FPCA LifeBook & Stylistic is 7, Pocket LOOX is 5, DESKPOWER TX Series is 8, PD-TFT15A & PD-TFT15B Monitor is 7, PD-TFT15C & PD-TFT15D Monitor is 4 and PD-TFT17A Monitor is 3 (For the type of TFT monitors, please refer to the part number on the label)

DELL
TFT Disclaimer. Small bright dots may appear on your TFT display when you turn on your PC. Your display contains an extremely large
number of thin-film transistors (TFT) and is manufactured using high-precision technology. Any small bright dots that may appear on your
display are an intrinsic characteristic of the TFT manufacturing technology.

ACER
Thin Film Transistor (TFT) is the basic component of all Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panels. Each LCD panel is made of millions of TFTs. As a phenomenon known to TFTs, LCDs commonly exhibit a small number of discoloration dots, as so-called “non-conforming pixels”. This phenomenon is a limitation of the TFT LCD technology, not a product defect, and as such is not covered by Acer’s warranty.
LCD panel manufacturers need to adhere to certain standards as set by International Standards Organisation (ISO).
The LCD panels used in the monitors and notebooks supplied by Acer Computer Singapore adhere to ISO 13406-2 Class II standard.

I just surf out the informations for T&C for various brands. Fujitsu is not the only one who do not warrant dead pixel. I do not know why you get so angry over pixel things when you should know about T&C before buying any products. Yes you get sad, angry etc etc when you dont know the standard out there in the market and want to complain to CASE for something you did not even find out 1st?

If i were you, I will cool myself and talk to AsiaPac to seek their understanding and help. Instead of calling them and @#$%^&*, if they use T&C to shoot you, you think you stand a chance? My principle - talking peacefully and naturally help will come eventually. hahaa:s22:

Moral of the story meaning never get your laptop frm NTU retail shop. I guess the Lifebook E8410 belong to the same batch having the same dead pixel problem. I get my S6410E2VB performing well but heard S6410 coming out a 3.5G version weighing 1.6kg only. I guess the price tag should be at least 4k.

yo.. this would be wrong.. pixel problem doesn't comes from batches. Its a non-conforming pixel and due to technology limitation, its not a defect (quote from Vtectian) :D

thus pixel from my knowledge appears out of nowhere. wun be a batch problem.

my 2cents worth

Totally AGREED. I have experienced pixel problem before too ! 7 pixels normally is a guide line, as I state earlier I choose to talk to vendor nicely and they are most willingly to help me rather than reject me.
