but the warranty would not be voided if u open the case and add ur own ram inside?

have not seen the model physically yet. but to my knowledge, the RAM slot and HDD is normally below the laptop. easy access.
But do take note that if u damage the casing by trying to pry open the casing, it is not cover under warranty as it is classified as physical damage.

hai... $100 for additional 512mb from fujitsu -> no problems with warranty..

$150 for additional 1GB from sls -> not sure of the implications..

think i should get from fujitsu, put my mind at ease..

ermm... i'm not sure whether nid to remove ram anot ler..

i assume if they check that the ram is faulty and the ram not from fujitsu.. they will remove it and do all tests on the laptop for other issues.. if laptop no problem then will call to inform u that the ram is faulty but haf done the neccessary checks on the laptop. but of course will return u the ram that u bought urself.. :)

hi. which tablet pc would u recommend. just sth for basic use and ultraportable. thanks!

u can consider ST5030 (Pentinum M) or T4210 (Intel Core Duo Processor)
if u are a ntu or nus student then lagi beta.. can get t4210 at a not bad price..
i would suggest T4210 cos dual core, faster and less heat emitting..
if i'm not wrong, u can turn the LCD both ways (180degrees) instead of the older models where u can turn it one way onli.. :D

Hi guys, has anyone used before S6240 (13.3" SuperFine XGA TFT, 1024 x 768 pixels) LCD? Is it very glaring?

how do u define glaring?
the screen itself is a glaring screen in which will be best use indoors.. cos outdoor if e sun shine on it, u might not c that clearly. it is quite reflective.
if u have happen to c other models, some haf non-glare lcd in which is not so reflective.
but for glare lcd, the good thing is the graphics will be nicer.. :D

but y dun consider the newer models which comes with dual core processors? :)

Thanks. I mean that will the screen be too reflective, making words hard to read. I have already purchased S6240 (the Silver one with matt screen) already. The LCD is faulty and there is no spares till next mth. So the service center offer an option to replace the SuperFine XGA TFT, 1024 x 768 pixels) LCD for me. Now i am just pondering whether to accept their offer or not.
