I think you(tth_ben) are lucky...you changed your laptop, and I think you got XP Pro in the second one. So you just need to pay $45 for "Vista Business" and I need to pay $171 for "Vista Home Premium". I am surprised why the Microsoft or Fujitsu couldn't give a proper answer before the Vista launch. And it was a nice business plan worked out by Microsoft when the Vista launch was much delayed, so that people will never stop buying the products.

Actually they (Digital Asia) have smoothly cheated the people in the name of "Express Upgrade".

well. i called moduslink. apparently, different manufacturers have different individual pricing for the same upgrades. this seems correct from the vista pricing thread. fujitsu once again has premium prices. no choice. heh.

Need some recommendations on a Fujitsu laptop, budget around $1600-1800. Intended to be used for sch work, internet, movies and decent gaming. Also needs to have Windows Vista.

Formatted b4... easy... nothing complicated... just restore from the recovery CD, after the completion of installation of windows, insert the drivers and application CD and install them... that's it...

Yeah I was seeing this message for a long time on the Singapore site.

"Redemption website is not available currently; please check our website again on a later date."

But you can see a "UPGRADE NOW" button at the bottom which appeared only before a few days.

Only those latest models are in the list of vista update capable... does it mean that old model like mine S7011 cannot be upgraded to Vista?

One thing good about all the laptops brand nowadays is that, it not only have the OS recovery CD but also the drivers one where while installing the OS, it will prompt you to insert the applications CD while you can choose your laptop model from the list provided and then do a install with your OS.

It is easy, try it. You don't try it, you won't know it. :D

Try to hump on the Vista yet with that budget, Vista will work good with good graphics card + if got DirectX 10.0. The effects is powerful.

:p IMHO.

Not express upgrade ba, you have to purchase the Vista CD yourself and then install loh. Fujitsu website also have the drivers ready for Vista. :D

Hi guys, my S6220 has a 1cm line of red colour on my monitor (think is dead pixels). It's on its third year warranty. Can I ask them to change the monitor for me?
