My sch is using the Fujitsu Tablet PCs..tink is the T series...kinda nice design but quite alot of plastic parts...
Will the greater use of plastic on the body of the T401x Series make it any less reliable, compared to maybe Compaq TC4400 which seems quite stiff?

No one is going to be able to recommend anything.

How big is "big enough'?
How cheap is "cheap enough"?
How light is "light"?

Based on general consumer standards, there is nothing from fujitsu that is "cheap enough" and "light".

both the s7110 and s6240 are long discontinued product models. :s8:

in any case, their successors s7111 and s6311 aren't exactly what the general consumer will call "cheap enough".

OK let me elaborate
I dont use the laptop for gaming or anything taxing, only use microsoft office application for word, excel and powerpoint
Need to bring it to and fro office as there are no PCs in my office. Need to travel a lot too to overseas. BTW I am overseas now.
Price is a concern as mentioned i dont need anything too powerful for my light usage. Budget 2000K and below.
Thanks

Budget 2000K? Wow. That could buy you a container shipment. Heh.

Anyway, for less than 2000, your options with Fujitsu are very very limited, since you also want a light laptop. You could try getting the value-range S series, S2110. But the value range S series uses AMD processors and has very bad battery life. 2 hours average at most.

I think you're better off going with another more value-for-money brand. Perhaps Compaq or Dell.

My S6120 socket to charge the batt came off. Anyone knows where i can send for repairs(preferably in the east), or any idea how much it would cost?

Not under warranty anymore.

fujitsu s6220 upgrading

Hi..i am new to this forum, but it sounds like people here really know there stuff and are great about helping.

I bought a s6220 and recently have noted that it is not good enough for playing an occasional game like AOE.

I love it otherwise. Was thinking of upgrading the RAM from its current 512 (2x256) to 2x1G. Also was thinking of trying to upgrade the video card cause it seems to give some message before starting the game.

Are these worth trying? Any suggestions of what type RAM and where to get it?
Any other suggestions?

The laptop if fujitsu s6220 1.5 GHz pentium M with 60 G

Thanks for any help.

Are u sure you can overclock the cpu speed? Using what? A 3rd party software? Not advisable to do that. I will suggest that canuckdoc get 60-80GB HDD 4200rpm.. no need for 5400rpm.. No much difference anyway.

Yes snakee, if you want to purchase S7110 enhanced model from any school.. Try NTU, 8-flags.. you can ask your friend to buy S7110 from there which also quite cheap under COD.

Need for 5400rpm. Considerably much difference.
