in this case, it could be LCD spoilt or the circuit board that gives power to lcd. but very hard to determine without checking. to confirm which one, most likely u haf to send to service centre. it would be more feasible to purchase a new one.. preferably before the gst increase..
most likely is the fan.. but the hdd has possibility of noise production cos when the disc of the hdd is spinning, it creates sound too.. even if a very soft one..
wah.. like tt oso very hard liao wor.. if under warranty at least can still get a checkup and replacement of fan but onli nid to pay for the service charge.. but no warranty means there will be charges for parts replacement and service charges.
