i managed to reformat my laptop E8210 from vista to xp ... so far faster , my cs graphics less cock up now ! haha .. i got pass the SATA installation during win installation

Hi my fujitsu lappy's lcd screen goes black whenever i plug in the power supply after a few secs....
it goes black but u still can see the outline of windows, when running on battery it is ok but starts to flicker occasionally and after sometime it will go black also. what is the problem with my LCD screen? what are the solutions. Anyone help pls! thankyou

Your problem on the laptop seems very serious. Do not hesistate, just send to service centre.

i accidentally erase the partition info.

It is all about personal opinion, personal thinking whether to get it insured. $30 may seems to be a minor amount, but it may buy you a lot of peace.

Normally, for my own practice is that I made sure my battery is drained before I removed it from the laptop and use it on the power A/C. I always have a fan blowing if I am using the laptop and leaving it on for long for better air ventilation.

thanks for the reply! i used a book to support the laptop for better ventilation. will it helps ? heh..dont want to waste money on coolers and stuffs.....

i m now using vista with 1gb ram. thinking of upgrading it by adding 1 more ram. can advise whats the price for a 1gb ddr sdram 667 (at sch it costs 130, any lower)? do i have to be concerned abt the brand (better brand more reliable? e.g. sch use hynix ram) ? for compatibility, what do i have to look out for ?

Hi all, i juz had my u1010 for abt 5days! and i had so much problems wif vista tat i dunno how to describe... izit juz my u1010 or is any of u experiencing e same...

1)my wireless internet always disconnect by itself randomly showing local access only
2)i only managed to detect my older sony Xp notebook juz once in my network... then it disappear suddenly after i finish transfering some files by sharing.
3)even after i turn of sidebar n e full set of aeros effect.... my mp3 still plays laggily on wm11... movies files needless to say...
4)when i running msn video... tat's all tat i can run... tryin to open other programs like even ie7 will hang e system!!! not to mention typing on msn also can lag!
5)i juz wanna make sure wat i experience is the "norm" b4 i give up on vista... but i got an even greater headache!!! i juz learnt tat xp tablet is not available off e shelf! ppl who have reinstall wif xptablet do so becos they own an xptablet notebook previously... so how ar??? i'm stuck wif vista!!!???

i wanna dual boot it with winXP pro SP2. however, when i loaded moi cd into the bay and goes into the screen "press enter to install XP, R to recover and F3 to quit" i pressed enter as usual and winXP pro gimme the message "hard disk not found, cannot proceed" its a SATA I 160GB by fujitsu.
Pls provide input. THX!

i wanna dual boot it with winXP pro SP2. however, when i loaded moi cd into the bay and goes into the screen "press enter to install XP, R to recover and F3 to quit" i pressed enter as usual and winXP pro gimme the message "hard disk not found, cannot proceed" its a SATA I 160GB by fujitsu.

u need to either slipstream the windows xp installer with SATA driver found here... http://www.pc-ap.fujitsu.com/support/drv_lb_wxp_e8410.html

or use USB floppy to install the SATA drivers.

with the SATA drivers in the floppy, run the windows installer and press F2 or F6 can't remember (install additional SCSI or something like that)

only after installation of the SATA drivers will you be able to install windows xp normally

did dualboot wif xp using nslite
now the sound device cant be detected in XP... lolx... m$~

Hey it seems that there is a 50 percent i got virus in my computer?When my laptop woke up from sleepmode,it is at the log in screen,so i haf to choose the account i want to logback in rite?But strangely is that i got only one account and guest account is off,why do i see two FAHJIADE(My account name) one at the left and at the right?

i find that most shops only sell protectors for wide screen.Btw the glossy part(built in Lan antenna) on the front cover gets scratch easily.Any type of protector as well?Thks.

Therefore,i decided to reinstall the graphics driver.After installaling the graphics driver,it seem that i got blue screen of death which say bad pool caller.Then i asked one of the members here and he/she said for my brand of laptop,the name which says on the display adapter at device manager should says:Mobile intel(R) 945GM express chipset family,but i see my one that i have reinstalled which is without the GM letter on it,so i try to unistall and install again,its still without GM.i used cpu-z ot check my mainboard,it is i945GM.Also recently,i found out that my screen at a part a little bit near bottom will flicker once a while when i am watching videos on youtube.The flicker is for a 0.5seconds.Can anyone help me to get back to my original graphics driver and what causes the screen scrambled?

i'm sure there's definitely more than 2. 'cuz my t4220 is showing me the same screen too after ctrl+alt+del. i have 5 icons, namely "my logon, other user, insert smartcard, my logon(again), and other user (again).
