The non-original covers are not out yet.![]()
It's not that they want to follow the iPhone, but it's that people always complain that Samsung flagships using plastic feels cheap and not premium that's why they switched to using glass-metal sandwich design, which is a premium design in any ways.
You can't expect removable battery on a phone with a glass body(or a metal body) right??
FYI, the A5 (2016), A7 (2016) and A9 (2016) is the first few Samsung devices featuring the 2 SIM + 1 SD card slots design.

Just want to share that LG V20 is a removable battery phone with metal body. Not trolling. But having non-removable battery would mean higher capacity batteries can be used in the same space as the battery is not exposed and a little space is saved for higher capacity.

Pros and Cons

Manage to get a jelly case, hopefully more casings will be available. However, the tempered glass protector is too small. I wonder if previous model also like this.
Swee swee LonelyMan... thanks for the info... looks like this LG V20 is good. Saw this adv on Qoo10 that it is 4G+3G. 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. Got dedicated SIM2 slot or not? But the 5.7 inch is too big and bulky for my pocket.... any smaller model to recommend?

I think currently only Samsung A9 Pro and LG V20 has Dual Sim 4G+3G plus a dedicated microSD slot. I might be wrong. Not sure about other phones.
I think if we are not urgent, just wait for a few more months and we will see more phones with 3 dedicated slots with 4G+3G and microSD support. I can think of LG G6, Mi Max 2, Samsung A5/A7 and maybe even Sony. And there is also the Samsung C9 Pro but not sure if it supports all 3 slots and by the time it arrives, something better will be out.
Hi guys, at the moment all Samsung A devices globally only run on 4G+2G. We do have an update queued for the device family to enable it to 4G+3G soon. Targeted Q1.
This is not exactly correct. The Samsung A9 Pro does support Dual SIM 4G+3G.

while one or two want removable battery, even more people want their hps to withstand waterI think I will wait for the new software for 4G+3G or else it will be no difference from my Galaxy S5 Duos which has 4G+2G with dedicated slot for 2nd SIM also.
The Always on Display replaces the LED notification. I read about an article that Always On Display can consumes a fifth of the battery power in a whole day.

Might not be significant for new phone, but as the phone ages, battery life will be shorter. Should have kept the old LED notification and let consumer choose which one to use.
I don't know why Samsung follows IPhone to have non-removable battery nowadays. My S5 at least still can buy a new battery and replace.
Shouldn't all newer phones be better and "betterest", but instead, add better hardware but take out little features here and there
Their flagship S7 has no dedicated slot for the 2nd SIM instead share the slot with the MicroSD. Now they realize it and improve this in this new year's A series

this one must wait. hope they can update before 1st Apr 2017, when all 2G services shut downSomeone bought the a9 pro and testified that it works 4g+3g and it's probably the only local A family device which has that. All other A3 A5 A7 (2016/2017) and earlier models do not seem to support as of now.

Just got A7 2017. The black edition is nice. The battery is power pack. Lasted very very long. Good for those who want big screen, big battery, good camera and IP68
