Still went to download mode huh.. If you don't mind installing another widget, you can choose several reboot options from widgetsoid and that includes recovery mode.

I was downloaded ROM manager and it work to turn on to Recovery Mode...But the problem is what is this downloading mode keep on appearing in my bootloader.....Thanks

I start normal and try to hold volume +/- and power but still the same...

I did not try to flash my ROM...i am trapping by this....I tried to plug in my nexus and start with GNex toolkit and run the option 1 - click...but it do not work and even stuck in the Google word....Who willing to help me :(

The downloading mode is the "Odin" mode in Samsung phones. Basically it allows one to connect the phone to your PC and install roms to it. Nothing to be concerned about.

To clarify, you are now stuck at installing recovery?

anyone know whether is it important to backup EFS partition in case of corruption? any easier way of backing up. used to be able to do it with an application my S2 :(

Here's a simple app I made for backing up EFS, works only for Galaxy Nexus. You need root, though the app doesn't check for it explicitly.

Backup is made to your /sdcard root folder.

Download

yup, i saw the "odin" on the left up of the mode....how to install rom to it? and where can I get it?

Once i hold volume +/- and power and it show that downloading mode...Then i do not know wat to do with it and the thing that I can do is just Start it normally....

can't download it, there seems to have some issues.

would you mind mirroring it somewhere else? eg, dropbox, mediafire etc?

1st time reboot would be quite awhile(Nt very long thou), after which u will see the Android is updating applications screen and when it's over, it will boot into the device.

How long is long? I have done the CWM, wipe, flash M3, GAPPS and reboot. Now still stuck at unicorn with "team kang" doing its animation.

for those using widgetsoid, is it possible to disable the running in background icon on the notifications bar completely? quite ugly with it there and hiding it seems weird

you tried it or are you actually recommending me that tool? I know that tool, does it work?

I haven't tried it on a Nexus. You could also use the tool complied by Fifa03fan, since it's now available.

Hiding it via the hide notification icon option doesn't work?

Under 1min to my estimation...

Will loop about 5-6 times then boot into the system..

Currently using AOKP, franco kernel and XXKL1 baseband. Saves a lot of battery life. Works the best for me, and AOKP have a lot of functions to customize your phone too.

Usually I turn my brightness level to the min, turns off the sync and have no widgets on my homescreen. Except the clock widget, which doesn't require any data. Widgets that require data will drain your battery quick, so unless you really need it then put it.

its hidden, but when you have lets say a new twitter notification, the twitter logo wouldn't be flush to the left, the hidden widgetsoid will be blocking it
