Still went to download mode huh.. If you don't mind installing another widget, you can choose several reboot options from widgetsoid and that includes recovery mode.
I encounter that once..All i did was to start normall before going back into bootloader again..
Did u manage to flash ur rom? If not during GNex Toolkit after choose the build version, did u perform the 1-click for all option?
I was downloaded ROM manager and it work to turn on to Recovery Mode...But the problem is what is this downloading mode keep on appearing in my bootloader.....Thanks

anyone know whether is it important to backup EFS partition in case of corruption? any easier way of backing up. used to be able to do it with an application my S2![]()
Can u redo the whole GNex procedure again but this time, dont install ROM Manager?? See if it works.
The downloading mode is the "Odin" mode in Samsung phones. Basically it allows one to connect the phone to your PC and install roms to it. Nothing to be concerned about.
To clarify, you are now stuck at installing recovery?
Here's a simple app I made for backing up EFS, works only for Galaxy Nexus. You need root, though the app doesn't check for it explicitly.
Backup is made to your /sdcard root folder.
Download
Yes, important. Tried the tool here: [TOOL] Updated! 01/11/11 - EFS Pro v1.2.6 - Advanced '/efs' Backup and Restore! - xda-developers
Dropbox link:can't download it, there seems to have some issues.
would you mind mirroring it somewhere else? eg, dropbox, mediafire etc?
1st time reboot would be quite awhile(Nt very long thou), after which u will see the Android is updating applications screen and when it's over, it will boot into the device.
you tried it or are you actually recommending me that tool? I know that tool, does it work?
for those using widgetsoid, is it possible to disable the running in background icon on the notifications bar completely? quite ugly with it there and hiding it seems weird
How long is long? I have done the CWM, wipe, flash M3, GAPPS and reboot. Now still stuck at unicorn with "team kang" doing its animation.

Hiding it via the hide notification icon option doesn't work?
