After upgrading my Galaxy Note 3 to Kit Kat, many things do not work.
- Starhub TVAnywhere crashes
- 920 Text editor - cannot save file to external SD card (cannot open file EACCESS permission denied error)
- A few applications from the Play Store cannot be installed eg Adobe Reader

Anyone tried installing the stock Android 4.4 KitKat email app?

I sideloaded it once (version 6.1-937116) successfully and managed to run it for a few days with no issues. Then I 'itchy hand', went and uninstalled it. Now when I try to install the same apk again, it refuses to install with the error message "X App not installed." I'm on the stock un-rooted NB4 firmware.

Happened only after updating to KK right? I did not face the problem b4 the update. It has to be some conflict with KK and the board (certain batch?) or with Singtel auto wireless.sg settings (just my guess). Anyway already tried all possible "software troubleshooting" methods inclusive of factory resets through both myself and samsung service centre. All the best to you but don't worry if it happens again because you can always use my solution.

Yes, when there is no signal it assume the SIM has been removed. This is definitely a bug. I went to replace my SIM because it is free, I did not encounter this any more but it is also because I am not in ulu place after that so I cannot conclude but I believe it is the same.

Any one found a fix to this problem. i am not using my 4G currently and i dont experience it.. but once i connect to 4G and i am out of signal.. it will ask me to restart.

I requested for mb change but never asked for JB. Just that it came back with JB which has been working fine so no plan to upgrade. You can try ask for a new mb with KK and I guess should work fine since it is a new mb and others are not seeing the problem. However you must convince them to replace the mb because they initially rejected my request because I could not duplicate the problem on the spot. A bit ridiculous right if the problem is intermittent then how to show them? I think they might do a full reset for you to try out before deciding to change the mb. It might work for you, who knows?

What is extremely frustrating is that this is clearly a software rather than mechanical issues since it only happened after the KK update.

Wish they would get a patch out for this...

All my known WIFI connections password will be erased after a few days and required me to enter the password.

It works for a few days then it will prompt me to enter the password again.

Any solution ?

mine always on Auto, did a Factory Reset via setting after the last occurrence. so far touch wood still ok. also tried at same spot, cover with aluminium foil until 1 signal bar, hahaha most probably firmware related.

... btw do you guys also use any cell polling?
e.g. Llama or Tasker to automate location based task.
not sure if this has anything to do with it.

this also happened to me quite a few times too, even in the middle of a call.

the worst part is, after the sim card remove prompt, my phone managed to get 4G connection back. BUT since there is only restart option, you are not able to cancel :'(

Mine is on auto too and i too did a factory reset but the problem still persisted. nope i dont use cell polling.
