this is the base edition with only 16 free fighters. it is confirmed. don't believe you can download and play it yourself to know.

when you update to the latest patch, the game will have the latest season 4 fighters but they are all locked since you do not have the champion edition. you have to unlock them by earning 100k fight money (in game currency) for each fighter. total there are 24 fighters to unlock. another 4 fighters will be coming soon.

this money is only obtainable with certain modes in the game such as ranked match or survival. each ranked match you win gives you only 50 fight money. just imagine how much you have to grind to unlock 1 fighter.

then again if you buy the champion edition upgrade kit at 28 bucks from psn store or champion edition physical copy which cost around 50 bucks, you can unlock all of them as well as special costumes without having to grind for fight money.

nowadays games update with the latest icon from the newest version of the game no matter you own it or not, its just locked behind paywall and also due to multiplayer purposes.

It's still the base version.

Ya I think it's becos I've been subscriber for a long time, 2013-2021. My US account (also PS+ for similar length) didn't get anything though, when other people randomly gotten credit there.
