which omnidesk do u own? What are the current cons that you are facing compared to your old desk? Thx for sharing btw!

Omnidesk 2018 version. First of all, you need to know, all motorised desk are not stable after a certain height. Once it reached a certain height it tends to wobble like a lot.

If you wall mount your monitor, then you dont see the wobble much, if you use a monitor arm for the omnidesk, you will find it with a slight move of your mouse, it will send a shake to your monitor. Its annoying. Even despite putting the monitor on the desk with a monitor stand, it wobbles badly.

Unlike the galant series, it is structurely rigid. With the A frame legs. The table doesnt wobble. Yes not 1 bit unless you deliberately shake it hard.

The table material for omnidesk is far from good also. If you do do write on the table, since it is matte black finishing. You can see drawing or writing marks if you use a bit of force.

Lastly they market the cut in the middle to be in a bend shape to be good for egronomics, it is far from practical. It reduces the depth of the table space. And if you do put things on your desk. This isnt good.

Last but not least. The cable tray management. Is basic to none. Far cry from secretlab magnus table. I really dont recommend the omnidesk. Expensive due to the motor only. Just get something best and sturdy from ikea.

If i shift my house in the near future. I will replace my work desk to be of something more sturdier than this omnidesk.

wa read your review i really don't know if i should cancel my order. but firstly i did not buy a motorised desk. i bought the omnidesk kenshi which is a fixed table top, not sure if it will be more sturdy this way. I don't use monitor mounts , so my monitor & pc are on the desk itself.

You buy kenshi is of no difference to the motorised version. This is using the same shaky legs. That money, save yourself the headache, go over to ikea and see for yourself.

You can configure. It’s somewhat modular one.

Not trying to wet blanket you. But dont sink into the marketing that all this local branding gaming desk, gaming chairs etc lead you into buying their products. They spend hefty sum of money to market their products. They go through or filter off bad reviews/comments.

How is it possible to have thousands of comments and reviews with 1 or none bad reviews. Such a huge red flag already.

woah, ur setup called my eye more than the table. so i think afterall the setup matters the most! haha but yeah i can expect the secret lab table to be a top quality one.

Yeah earlier batches people complained about the desk having some sturdy issues but mine was fine. Could also be how they install. Mine even not flushed against the wall, the table is solid. But it is a heavy table even by itself so just take note.

Please don't start this "gaming" desk nonsense, there is no such thing.

A desk is a desk, a chair is a chair..

They do not have any benefit towards gaming.

A table with adjustable height =/= gaming desk

A sit cushion =/= gaming chair


The only difference is that if it has gaming in it, it costs more.

i think i got this for abt $500
initially i tot legless like not very stable but turned out fine. I've like heavy bookshelf speakers, monitors, o11D casing with distroplate (freaking heavy) on it.

I do have the SecretLab Magnus Desk and it's pretty damn nice. No issues so far. Abit expensive but I think it's worth it given the build quality. But with the price increase now not so sure if it's worth it.

Yea I don't understand why people spend $2k on a case. but this hobby is expensive. Cannot travel overseas, a lot of spare cash to spend.

I've been looking at the MySeat.sg tables, they use rubberwood and the pricing is quite okay ($140+ for 1200x600 "HARPER"). Also search for "HML151" on Shopee, it's a rubberwood desk going for $169 (also 1200x600).

Need to decide on a desk Anyone know other affordable table sellers?

just got the omnidesk fixed up and im pretty satisfied with it. i mean the desk feels sturdy enough for me, quality is soso but i got the normal black top and without the motor, so i shouldnt be asking for too much as well. the cable mangement tray is indeed small but lucky my extension is small so overall it still fits. I would say its a 7.5/10 table. during promo period can buy ba. just my 2 cents!

Can just get from Aliexpress or ezBuy or Shopee right? Frame should be made in China anyway. I researched and found the OEM makers Loctek (makes the Xiaomi desk) and Contuo (which is where Illumi got their desk).
