The first day I got it the D-Pad was already like that :ROFLMAO: .

On diagonal D-PAD input, press down subtly cannot/intermittent register, need extra force after it goes down.

I thinking to get the ultimate.. but got 4 variants.. dont know which 1 is the best
Wow on first day but still can used till now so patient.

I didn't realize now ultimate have 4 variant, perhaps can do more research on your specific use based on your experience.

I choosed wired because some game like horizon 5 will used up my battery every month due to vibration. So I finally settled with wired to save on battery usage and the wired vibration is quite strong too

Actually I watched a YT video n this guy had like 9% error rate on the circularity test o_O 6:41

Oh I not sure about the Bluetooth version but my wired version doesn't have the stick alignment drifting issues he mentioned so far after calibration.

Maybe someone with the Bluetooth version can shared their experience.

Is the wired version also using hall sensor joystick?

Actually the 'bt' version is bt+wired+2.4 :spin:, they don't know how to name their products

I read some reddit post seems only the BT version using hall sensor joystick, not much info I can find on the wired version.

Can you test your 8bitdo ultimate here https://gamepad-tester.com/
My 8bitdo pro 2 has 2 major problems apart from the latency.

1) The joystick registered as a square shape instead of round. (tick test circularity)
View attachment 38886

2) The next problem is that the d-pad diagonals don't register or only register intermittently if I don't push down hard enough. So after pushing down the D-PAD, extra force is still required to actuate the buttons.

For FPS games strafing is better with a low-latency keyboard. I noticed that it was easier 'coming to a stop' by moving in the opposite direction to get the bullet shooting straight.
My almost new ps4 dualshock controller reads about 7.4% for both left and right stick

That's not good. Even my DS4 controller doesn't have this issue, although the drift is pretty severe. I suspect manufacturers intentionally use components that wear out quickly to encourage users to purchase new ones.

However, console gamers aren't always concerned about performance, which may explain why there hasn't been much improvement in the past two decades.

Some Bluetooth controllers have a delay of 20-40ms, yet some people claim they don't notice any lag when using wireless. It's hard to believe, really.

Nowadays, even some wireless gaming mice and keyboards only have a few milliseconds of lag. Keyboards with high latency surely must be exposed before the manufacturer will fix them.

Ya agreed, for controller as a casual user normally I will not test it but few games like ninja gaiden and dmc can really feel the delay if the controller not up to standard or motion not in sync.

Think I really need time to calibrate this elite controller o_O

As for keyboard I start to be curious after watching the new ROG azoth mech KB on latency both wire and wireless which is now trigger me to research more, I am expecting the new Corsair KB on Monday and will try if it help in overall experience with mw2

Edit: also I think part of the reasons why console always lock on 30fps~60fps that will not hardly impact the controller latency

Ya agreed, the prices is high but I checked in Lazada can get below $400 and very competitive to some of other high end wireless keyboard on the market in view this azoth have better feature set with hot swap and 3 way connection really edge out other option I researched.

On the other hand, I found a Redditor that reported 4ms - 8ms for the 8bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth in 2.4GHz mode.
