PSP is all about TCB.

Without him it will be another Red Dot United / NSP.

Personally I think the only real opposition is WP & SDP.

If I'm not mistaken in the earlier GE,TCB want to merge all these smaller parties in one. A noble idea but sadly didn't materialised.

Also their party don't have much youngsters.

Tcb screwed up their chances, people might only see him as a spiritual leader but he seems too old to be in parliament debates or even run MPS. LMW is the sec gen and known tanker in the parliament but wasn’t shrewd enough to front his grc team signals weakness in him. A young one to replace tcb and pull down their avg age of team.

the silver lining is PSP managed to hit 40% so all is not lost.

TCB needs to step down from party management and increase in number of younger cadres under 40 into its CEC

PSP lose until so cham, who else dare to join them after this poor showing? Whole life kena scrutinised, lots to lose, nothing to gain. u do cost/benefit analysis also not a good look, considering the entire west is pap stronghold.

same can be said about SDP. Its just Dr Chee and Paul Tambyah, whose showing also not very good. Next GE dun even know if Sembawang SMC will still exist.

They have difficulty attracting new blood and, I am guessing, raising funds.

Throughout, it's just 3 pax - (1) TCB, who endorsed TKL in PE, (2) LMW, who could be seen as being rude in Parliament, and (3) HP, who could be seen as lacking the fire needed in a politician.

And being associated with LHY does not really help.

5MP GRC has proved to be very powerful to stop track oppo. MP, WC and Tampines all gave difficulties to oppo. Prepare to see more 5 or new 6 MP GRC.

Agree. The Opps should have focused on SMC fights and placed their anchor man/woman on it rather than GRCs which have a much lower chance of winning.

Probably too ambitious wanting to win a GRC first.None have achieved that so far,WP also start from SMC.CSJ nearly had his chance at sembawang west SMC even though he is new face there.

SDP is one man party. Even Paul also tio pwn. The rest are clowns like GG Wong and WUSG admin.

it's not about gentleman's game or what, TCB should contest in SMC in 2020, it would be an easy entrance to parliament for him. Then he can establish the foundation of PSP from there. GRC level elections are on different levels of difficulty. I never expect any party in SG to win a GRC without any prior experience in managing a constituency.

On hingsight maybe... but i think in truth even tcb contest in smc he also wont win. Especially for smc they are specially craved out with strong core support for PaP.

Only smc i can think of tcb have a chance of winning and not gatecrash with WP is Potong Pasir only. The rest of the smc i dont think he even stand a chance.

think tcb retiring Liao. Fair enough. Stephenie tan got good potential. IMO needs more experience. Running a party, as we’ve seen this election is not easy. It’s more than just being able to talk. Really needs superb organisational skills, being able to attract and retain people, make ppl willing to work for you, listen to you, run multiple committees within the party.

it’s why I really respect Pritam and ltk. Maybe psp can send someone over as an intern to learn from them.

as you can tell, I’m probably bias for being a bit pro wp. But I don’t like a two party system that this country seems to be shifting towards. Having a 3rd or maybe 4th prominent party will be good for Singaporeans.

My understanding from grass root is westside heartland areas like Jurong is PAP vote bank. West Coast GRC was vulnerable but the inclusion of Jurong West estates into the GRC tilted the balance.

sdp needs to qc their people better. Their party discipline is pretty weak imo. But they’re a party of idealists. I feel at times they’re often not practical.

TCB should have contested in SMC in 2020 to get the party a step foot into the parliament first. The initial strategic planning in 2020 had been a disaster. I think TCB highly overestimated his influence in the GRC-level election. He is not LKY, LHL, or other high-profile SG leaders who can cover other political newbies and carry them into the parliament.
