Gerrymandering is the biggest factor for PSP loss in WC-JW...taking out Telok Blangah and Dover and then putting in Taman Jurong and Jurong Spring really help PAP..

Everyone also know that TCB is 85yrs old this year and will last for only one term at most or he might just uplorry middle of his term too and so no ppl dare to vote PSP...

Tbh there is only so much tcb magic
People are worried if tcb gone, is it psp gone?
Leadership renewal.
Wp successful renewal to a younger generation of candidates.
Psp will have to do so too. If they managed to do so in next election then will be a better force to take the west
Tiagong that the TCB magic was tainted by the LHY stain.

Yup. You were right.

When I saw Leon Perera as an MC, I got a shocked, as I am someone who values moral and reputation. Seeing someone like Leon who engaged in extra marital affairs made me furious, and that moment, I questioned my support to PSP, and wondered if this party's values actually align with mine. I almost wanted to vote for PAP because of Leon, until my sibling came over to my house and we discussed this issue. Then after much consideration, I decided to continue my support for PSP, but vowed to myself that if Leon become a PSP member in the next election, I will not vote for the party.

Now it seems, PSP will be no more.
That's the price they have to pay for making wrong decisions, however minute it may seem. When a clip showing lp showing up at the HQ, I felt something strange.

Feel bad for lmw and hp. but if it's their call, then they have to answer for it.

For those areas which PSP are contesting, you would see TCB's face as the election poster. Heck, even the van broadcast will blast, vote PSP - TCB, even though he is not contesting that area.

You dont see Pritam, CSJ's face in WP / SDP areas contesting.
yeah this point is really one of the things, i'm not comfortable with.

i heard comments from ppl making fun of the "i'm tcb, pls vote for me" message...

why keep parading him like LKY.. psp rally also similar to pap one. with flags , blasting music during entrance & shouting/chanting . except it is more inclusive n within the crowd.

but sharp eyes n ears , can see it is usually red shirts shouting n chanting during the rally, not the crowd.

i didnt comment on that during the polling period to avoid hurting their chances..

This is quite true. I attended a PSP rally early on and could not find much of their party material or manifesto. They told me to go their website. Which I did and found their manifesto and solutions to problems to be well thought through, and most important workable and practical. But not many people is going to be like me to spend the time to look through details. I think PAP should study some of their solutions, if not already.

the silver lining is PSP managed to hit 40% so all is not lost.

TCB needs to step down from party management and increase in number of younger cadres under 40 into its CEC
WP in 2001 was even worse, that time JBJ was still leader and he got sued until bankrupt thus giving up his NCMP seat.

He urgently need to conduct party renewal liao, last GE PSP got a lot of new young candidates.

Hearsay he fielded a lot last GE is simply to test grounds to see which GRC/SMCs to tackle this GE.

He needs to either pump it more funds and then bring in new blood into the CEC.

SDP needs to urgently reform also, CSJ got close to 47% despite heavy gerrymandering shows that his work is somewhat of a success thus far.

Actually NCMP is a double-edged sword, you like Lina Chiam inside the parliament in the end performance not good then SPP went downhills after that.

Plus the pay is low and extremely time-consuming. Better to focus on his F&B Biz then use some of the money to inject into SDP. Then clear out all the deadweight like Gigene Wong out.

Also, he not young should spend more time with his wife who sacrificed a lot over the years as well.

People should realize the dawn of a new age/order is about to take place and things will get very, very uncomfortable.

Frankly, most of the opposition parties have lost touch with their people except WP.

That is the hard truth.

It’s true. TCB is the one carrying hazel and LMw. The lattter 2 are not natural politicians. They need someone more charismatic to helm the party. Otherwise risk becoming another SPP or NSP

Feel really bad for PSP. I think Leong Mun wai and hazel did a good job in parliament and was expecting a close fight.

Was really hoping they would win so the PSP A team could contribute in parliament.

The fact that it was not even a close fight is shocking. But things don't always go as expected.

Myself I personally feel that I don't need or want to support opposition parties anymore.

Disappointment after disappointment - I think better to just watch after my own personal interest instead of national interest. Will back the PAP from now on.
