Is cutting all ties with Israel the best way forward for SG???? This is what the pro-Palestine people want our government to do.

WP doesn't advocate cutting all ties with Israel but they are suggesting more open dialogue. PAP's approach is to silence public discussion or have it done behind closed doors with moderators.

While both approaches have their merits, I think we have to approach this issue carefully as it is quite sensitive.

I think the GKY move to punggol is PAP last resort plan to defend punggol. GKY probably semi retirement mode liao. At most last 1 more term. So if he gets voted out, PAP will just treat it as giving him early retirement. Quite a low move from PAP to use GKY in this way imo.

The sandwich is towards the end of the bread type. Meaning combined income very close to $14k type or even exceeded liao. The Punggol folks I knew are all at least mid or mid senior level in their jobs. These people are very unlikely to vote opposition because they don't care if the housing prices or COL go up and up and up. To them, they are working and saving hard enough for their children to lead a stress free life next time. Not luxurious, but definitely won't have to worry.
