all i can say is as good as SXL is, even she cannot rectify many problems in my estate after 5 years (first 5 was put2cheery and worst)

my estate was an utter shyt show whenever it rained and although she made many terrible situations better, many of the solutions were somewhat incomplete.

many of her outreach programmes are well received because they are targeted at young families but i can tell you Workers Party also have such outreach programmes... and WP are not supported by People's Association.

You want to judge them all by singing the same song at the same time here. Do you think you can find the best singer this way?

We have a world today that is not fair. In a singing competition , every singer will not have the same level of coaching or same type of voice or some type of expression etc etc
One singer will sing first while one might sing it last.

Does the one who sing first has an advantage or the one who sing last has an advantage?

By your warped logic, if you persist on judging singers who are competing on unequal terms, what safeguards are there to ensure that a level playing field will ever emerge that would allow the best singer to win?

If this does not happen, should you live with the status quo and persistently allow the one who has an unfair advantage to carry on winning (simply because he has the advantage of picking his song choice which none of his competitor does)? This is a self-fulfilling prophecy

We will never have a fair level playing field in any competition whether it is election or singing as i said earlier. no 50-50 maybe 48-52 etc

If a singer is talent and can attract the crowds , he will eventually win it one day. Dao Lang 刀郎 story is a good example.

Similar here , in an area where EBRC crave out , That does not bother the guys in 1959 because they indent to contest all seats for all Singaporean.
EBRC purpose for craving out is to maintain the ratio of resident to MP at a consistent level. Every 5 years new voters come in old voters gone etc...

If you are only able to contest in certain areas , then u will find it a BIG disadvantage.
If you are contesting in all areas, then u will not find it as a BIG disadvantage.

The truth is WP agenda is to provide an alternative voice rather than lead Singapore. That is a problem on its own.
