Grants is to even out the odds against the poorer folks... Affordability varies depending on ones income... BTO is generally affordable.

The property market will collapse if SDP proposals are adopted and many Singaporeans with the bulk of savings tied to their properties will become poorer as a result. Really poorly thought proposal.

Their peak was in the 90s when they had Bukit Gombak.

SDP knows the biggest saikang is with being a town councilor. And they screwed up pretty badly after CSJ ousted CST as SecGen, then Nee Soon Central booted out Cheo Chai Chen and Bukit Batok booted out Lim How Doong.

That's why the last time Punggol East contest, CSJ wanna screw WP by saying, "We have a win-win proposal. We joint contest, if win SDP become MP. WP be town councilor." WP told him go jiak sai.

Lets face it, SDP had its peak UNDER CST, but died under CSJ.
Now 2025, SDP might as well go wipe itself off.

Until CSJ retires from politics, SDP has no hope. Going by the current trend, Singaporeans will consolidate around WP which will grow stronger. The other parties will soon go into oblivion.

Rental dictate by selling price.

Price I dun think can reduce but can give even more discount when buying first. Everyone who sell high price simple punish them 50% taxes of the selling price. I suppose they still can earn

Bought 500k selling 1.4m. government tax 700k he still earn 200k deduct 500k cost price.

Adopt the agenda. Hdb is for u to stay and a nest not for you to turn into 遥钱树。 Discourage selling.

And reduce lease to 50 years from 99 years. This will dampen the hdb price and condo price. Then those live till 70yo the lease up. Let them extend by renting till they passed away but on one condition cannot rent out hdb anymore

Overall, wouldn't exactly say that is very good but at least it is generally decent. WP and PSP have the best manifestos (not saying that they are perefect) amongst the parties so far in my opinion.

PAP's manifesto has too many motherhood statements, saying stuff like "We will" without providing more clarify on the "How" aspects.

Amongst the other parties (other than PAP/WP/PSP/SDP), guess RDU is probably the best out of the worsts.

WP have really raised their professional image and PSP have overtaken SDP in the public conciousness.

SDP don't seem to have much renewal or public engagement or media pressence. Till this day, they are still the CSJ kpkb party.

Dunno what Paul Tambyah still hanging around with them.

Because too many people still living in the past and like to bring up how bad CSJ was. Maybe he was bad but at least now he's toned down. At least now can see he is really trying very hard to get elected. Hopefully this GE25 Paul or CSJ can either get voted in or enter as NCMP to prove themselves

That's what Im' saying too. RDU is not gtreat but at least they are not NSP or SDA bad. At least there isn't any jokers in their group
