Did the birth rate increase after decades of imports? Foreigners can't contribute to our TFR unless they are PRs at least.

They don't even contribute much to our economy. How many do you see from a particular country dining at food courts? Only the true blue sinkies are the majority dining at food courts. No wonder so many food business have to close down.

Don't stir la. Singapore definitely need foreigners, they first setup shop and companies in SG for us to fill employees, macdonald's and many other companies are foreign companies.

The issue here is how much foreigners does Singapore need, and at present it seems we have too much for our own good. Too much competition for jobs and residence, not a good balance for Singaporean.

The issue is that we import too fast and too many. This is not a zero sum game, it's not 0 or 3 million foreigners, it always about the flow.

Sg needs foreigners, no doubt about that.

It is the quality of foreigners that are let in. At least 50% of the population are foreigners. Name 1 product that foreigners help propel sg to the world in the past 2 decades. Did any foreigner helped a local company here created a product like Creative's Soundblaster that becomes a global name? None that I can think of.

And pappies still dare to call these talents. Now I know why pappies 4G team is of such low quality. I call them economic refugees or leachers, rather than talents.

I think ts really need to come clean whether CSJ supported the notion Singapore needed foreign talents. If the answer is yes. Then no need to vote him in since there's no difference.

People want everything to be cheap and low-cost. To give them that, companies have to cut costs and labour cost is the biggest component of operational costs. If sinkies feel wages are too low and don't want the job, then companies have the justification to source for foreign labour.

Can't have it both ways wanting high wages and low cost. People have dual functions as consumer and income earner. High wages, high local employment and high cost is the natural price to pay.
