Yes, in 2015, WP did contest in Macpherson with Chen Jiaxi. I believe not high, about 35%. So now TPL got 15 yrs under her belt, you think so easy ah.....

The WP got all the people to do the calculation simulation for them. Some EDMW only talk big infront of computer.

With some PAP stronghold absorbed into Marine Parade and joo chiat to East coast, it is no longer the old Marine Parade they have walked the ground

Inactive Volunteering. Joined as members only just like many WP members and GE candidates who are only active during every GE.

Hougang and Sengkang has increased vote % for WP despite increased in number of new citizens and Aljunied GRC has decreased 0.27% of the votes for WP as 3800 voters have been cut to 10KKJ, meaning new citizens will still vote for Opposition if they are very active on the ground. Pritam's lying saga has minimal effect on the vote share for WP.

She still does background stuff IIRC. I have glimpsed her at some of the WP rallies.

Some may volunteer in the heat of the moment, esp after GE when emotions are high. But how long can you last?

Some ex-candidates may decide it is better for them to contribute behind the scenes, away from the limelight

And some ex-candidates were told to run for data collection, ground sensing reasons. This will help in WP's future election strategy

Volunteering/grassroots is not for everyone

SG politics takes alot of time and effort and end of day still get mocked at or cyber bullied

I admire those whoever step forward to run for elections, at least give us a chance to vote.

Volunteering/grassroots is not for everyone

Professional political parties have people to do the sai kang like distribute flyers, chit chat with residents, conduct surveys, photo and video taking, food distribution, events management, MPS and only select few can be candidate, not like mosquito parties which any dog or cat can be candidate.
