I just rented a gear s2 at westgate yesterday morning, and just thought of sharing with you guys for those who are not aware yet..

Was talking to the sales rep at westgate, understood from her that only PS branch and westgate are having this promo to let users rent it for free, while only accepting a deposit of the full price $448. this deposit can be fully refunded upon returning the unit..

I received a brand new sealed set for rent, as they say i was the 3rd one renting it..

The terms and conditions which i signed were:
1) any physical damage will forfeit the deposit
2) all included accessories must be returned
3) no water damage, if not forfeit deposit
4) scratches on the device will be considered as sold

Only for singaporeans and PR, if i never recall wrongly..

Don't forget to read the review of gear s2 on hardwarezone too!

So don't miss out this opportunity to try out the device for free... :D:D

What if your accident drop or knock like ur table and there is a scratch or 2. Den you make to pay the full price for 3rd,4th or 10th hand watch. :s13:

Yeah, that's considered sold.. so that's a caveat people should know... if not, people who rent the device might not care for it as their own..

I don't really missed any Andriod Wear. As I used my phone alarm a lot for several occasion for reminder purpose and Android Wear do not allow me to dismiss the alarm where else S2 do. That save me the trouble of taking out my phone just to dismiss the alarm. I don't used 3rd party apps and I used smart watch mainly for notification so S2 serve my purpose and more. I could even reply msg using the build in keyboard.

RWM sold out for the S2 Classic.. any other places selling cheaper than the Samsung stores?

Googled for some time but cant find the answer, what are some of the communication apps we can use the keyboard or voice to do a reply?
i know SMS, whatsapp, textra, fb messenger probably supports.

How about apps like line, wechat, hangout?

I don't use any of these apps, so I don't know. But i think should be able to use the keyboard if notification is supported.

Btw the keyboard arh, i think is only for replies that are short. Longer reply I rather use phone..
