Would love to see more variations of amps? Atleast when there are meet-ups, can try new stuff instead of going "Hey, you also got 'x' ah"

I use MS Surface Pro with Jriver Media Center 18 :o

There are still pple out there who utilises ultrabook laptops/small x86 UMPCs as their source actually, personally I've seen this under some japanese audio mag coverages for those that I buy and although this isn't exactly considered a common sight but still a niche, I do own some pretty sleek and lightweight UMPCs such as the Sony Vaio P/Willcom Sharp D4 paired up with USB DACs as my transportable driving sources actually.

Does the job well enough just that maybe in terms of outdoor battery life wise, cannot be compared much to nowadays the latest Android/iPad tablets or Haswell-based Ultrabooks, but at least in terms of overall weight wise my Vaio P/Sharp D4 when paired with my Fostex HP-A3 DAC/amp, is still much lighter than carrying a MS Surface Pro alone.

For home listening, currently using my new Asus N750 connecting via USB to EE Minimax Plus.
Intend to format the old HP Envy, then use it as a dedicated music server connecting to the Minimax Plus via USB.

If sometimes too lazy to start up lappie, then will just connect DX100 to Minimax Plus via optical cable.

People are following what others buy because there is safety in numbers. Can't expect everyone to leap of faith products. Then again there are those monkey see monkey do and parroting the opinion of others

Erm, I think I meant more uncommonly seen in SG amps.

i initially wanted to hoot the portaphile. but then don dare leap of faith for it.
coz from review it is super power with alot of cons too.
guess hard to find those rather uncommon amps ard
