Some business trusts are commonly regarded as REITs, as long as their main business is in real estate investment. So websites like reitdata and sgshareinvestors will classify business trust under their REIT section as long as the main business is real estate investment/holding property. (eg: CDL Hospitality Trust)
Both Reitdata and Sgshareinvestors classify Netlink as a non-REIT so it sort of puzzled me when singqian claimed IN calls it a REIT. But when I go to investingnote:

Can Singqian show us the IN webpage where it is called a REIT? Hope he is referring to IN and not some random anonymous guy in IN forums calling it a REIT... got big difference
Netlink is closer to something like Asia Pay TV Trust rather a REIT.
