One is ignorant while the other has done the due diligence. Are they bearing the same amount of risk? Definitely not.
I want to reduce my risk by doing due diligence
how to do due diligence to reduce my risk?:s11:

Don't buy lah.. Then no risk
my intention is to take calculated risk

and if due diligent can reduce my risk, I will do.

well i cut losses on some of my mapletree counters mainly MCT and MIT, waiting to cut loss for MLT.
the market doesn't really like mapletree counters...so would prefer to deploy my funds elsewhere.

Same like you, got in last May which happened to be a pretty bad time for entering REITs...

Offer a take over offer? Say want do due dillegence? Then employ a team of auditors to go in and open their book? Once you make sure it's clean, then go scb buy 10lots?

Those who got in before may then can understand my pain.
So far I feel that I make a good call to cut mct and cache, price never went back to that level I cut it at.
as for mit, cut at resistance level.

May 2014 is not too far away. Another sell down coming?

Probably not since the tapering is already on its way at a regular pace. Last May was the first signs of the end of QE, which made everyone jittery.

Not exaggerating la. Sinkie merely replying the answer deemed fit for you. Cuz you wanna take calculated risk, do your due diligence, yet asking people to tell you what to do.

If really scared, then the best calculated risk is to keep those money of yours under your pillow.

No need to scared of all the questions you've been asking. Swee boh?

What stocks are you vested in anyway? Or never hold a single lot ah? Just ask for fun fun?:s22:

Mai ah ni leh....;)

I try to ask serious question to improve my skills, and have a good discussion so that everyone here can learn.

If i ish scared of going to interview means I no need to find job is it?
If i ish scared of going to exam means i no need to get an education?

scared doesnt mean I wont do. The right way to deal with scary situations is to learn to overcome them.

in the case of risky stock investment, the right way to overcome them is to reduce risk. Take calculated risks
