Hey, dont say I never share wisdom hor....

one of my greatest wisdom I shared on this forum is the importance of backtesting of your trading strategies.

With a back test, you will be able to know whether your strategy is tyco tyco heng heng earn money, or really can consistantly earn money.

I even spoonfeed everyone use what software to backtest, and what I experienced from the backtesting. those people who think of picking up a technical analysis book to read, i told them not to waste their time. instead, do their own backtesting. they will learn much more than any technical analysis books out there.

U go CSI my post u will see that its very insightful hor

mind sharing why you think Suntec not good to hold?
In my opinion a couple of reasons to refrain from buying Suntec REIT now ($1.69)

1. It's about to hit a resistance...traders may start selling
2. Considering there is income support for it's stake in MBFC and the high gearing, 20% discount to NAV ($2.108) is in my opinion too low. I'll go for 30% discount ($1.5) which is closer to it's price support

Yupe, the high 38% gearing looks high but to me this is quite an acceptable level for REIT. With their good track record of securing new financing, their high committed occupancy rate (office 99.6%; retail 97.3%) and yield accretive AEI (phase 2 completing, phase 3 end of 2014) makes this a good counter to Hold in my opinion. Not to mention that I like what I see whenever I visited the mall after phase 1 AEI. That's why I would like to understand other people's opinion why they say this counter is not good to HOLD. I think even at 1.7 is still not a bad discount to their nav of 2.108

But I wasn't able to find out Suntec's outstanding loans are mostly fixed rate or floating though. Anyone here can enlighten me? Thanks

does this mean reits is bouncing back?

i truly regret, if i knew it would be like this, i would have bought more that time. only got 2 lots. darn it.

Heres your chance tomorrow. Sabana just reported a 22% decrease on distribution y-o-y. Price probably gonna be battered badly when market opens tomorrow.
