perhaps 7% div ? :s13:

Too dangerous to say this. Its like comparing both candies of a renowed brand with a say, china-made candies.

If i promise to give you candies, which would you take? 1 packet of renowed candy or 10 packets of china-made candies?

high yield also means higher risk especially when it is an industrial reit, when a correction occurs, you'll see...set your entry price carefully.

all investment should come with risk....

but reits is stable compare the rest....

buy in slowly... like 5k share... 5k share...

any comment ?

you haven't been through a sell down in reits of course you can say stable.
monitor the market long enough then decide on the market sentiment.
besides DCA only works if you buy in at a lower price than your previous buying price.

I also aiming for one of the industrial reits - MapleTree Industrial Trust. I tot is a good investment since more and more companies are doing business in Singapore

The examples i given is purely fictional, and does not represent the countries i quoted.

Im invested in reits too. By quoting a 7% dividend yield as 1 of the components, are you forgoing strong stable reits like CMT, Suntec or Plife?

i concur with Simon on the selldown on reits. Take a look at CMT and FCT price for the past 2 years. CMT went as high as $2.3x and went as low as $1.8x. However, at $1.8x, the yield is still not at 7%. Qn, would you not take CMT into consideration then?

CMT i average down at 1.81 last year after CNY due to selldown and low volume, preparing cash to do the same again. :D
waiting to average down FCT as well.

my thoughts on CMT are though yield is low and defensive due to the growth of suburban malls, it does not give me as much of a heart attack like industrial or commercial reits.

Thats right. The powerhouse reits (CMT, FCT, Ascendas) gives stability, though not at an individual expected yield.

Best example is Sabana. Look how Sabana fall from grace. Yield still at 7%, but many questions still remain unanswered. Who would dare scoop Sabana now?

(vested in FCT and ex-vested in Sabana)

for my next ICT probably in oct this year, i will speak with my camp mates one working in FCOT (previously from AIMS AMP) another from soilbuild to find out more about what they think about their respective companies.

as far as i know the one working in FCOT now, is vested in AIMS AMP using his cpfia on a monthly basis.
another guy which is my PC, he's in soilbuild management team.

Same. Vested in CMT, FCT and ex-sabana. Sold it at a profit very early when no news of anchor tenant renewal last year. Truth be told, I'm very risk adverse, drop at first sign of trouble. And no, I can't make it at timing top/bottom so this is pure fundamental based decision.

I personally feel that A-REIT has a better asset portfolio than MIT.

Of course, must buy at the right price.

The rest like forex, future index... and etc...

Sorry sifu... i newbie in SG reits...

Hope you can share the idea ... because i really to get on reits in SG. :o

Eh pls dont call me sifu. I'm no sifu at all. Just want to share what i feel or what i've experienced.

Have to look at the bigger picture when come to Reits, or in investing as a whole. There's a reason why the yield is 7%.

Don't jump first. Do research, keep coming to this Money Mind section, and also look at your interested Reits historical price. From there, determine a comfortable entry price, from then onwards, go all the way.

All the best!

U seem pretty knowledgeable, plan to hold long term? If its me I will go in slowly by batch. Get one now, see how it is 6 months later, maybe yellen increase interest rate. Then again, easy for me to say coz my cost price is low.
