Bought some FLCT at $0.97 today. I feel its fair value is >$1

I've traced a pattern of short-selling activity hitting the REITS, judging from the sudden rise in short-sale volume.

MPACT: Monday
MLT: Wednesday
Likely FLCT is today, to be confirmed when the short-sale report is out.

Someone is playing the market.
The fundamental reason for logistics side could be that the logistic tenants are having difficulties in making profit or will be facing such scenario.

You quite late in this short sell game monitoring haha. This has been going on for ages since I enter SGX back in 2000s. You need to beware though if price shoot up you as shortists cham.

Sometimes shortists have good reasons to short, and it would be best to wait till they are fully extended themselves. Got so many long term holders eager to lend out their shares to aid these shortists.

Typically shortist are full time traders. For those that hold a full time day job it is hard to keep monitoring the price movement as every 0.05 cent move means big profit or loss as they usually buy in bulk lots to magnify their wins (and losses). There are also contra traders in SGX markets too.

Conclusion is don't treat very SGX transaction as ppl interested in the stock or ETF fundamentals. Some of them just treat them as a means to flip and earn monies. Whether the stock or ETF fundamentals is good is besides the point. They look at huge volume and huge transaction in order to execute their strategy.

Suffice to say those that can consistently win monies are in the minorities. If not then many ppl quit their boring and tiring daytime job to go into SGX full-time trading.

So fast go back above $1. I was hoping to steadily accumulate more under $1.

Actually, under $1.05 is still good value and previously I was buying in the $1-$1.05 range. My 1-yr price target is >$1.10

But as the size of my FLCT holding goes up, I want to be more 'fussy' about buying price 😅

Unfortunately I used up my first tranche liao. 2nd tranche will only activate when its at least 8% down from my current average price of $1.

When shortists contra players play there is no concept of fair value PE PB etc. They only after counter that got huge volume and transaction. Know how they play and beat them in their game 知己知彼百战百胜

My opinion is that shorts have reached the bottom. Looking from the past price, there is strong rebound means, there are no more paper hands, only strong buy-n-hold buyers left.
But new buyers are still needed to push price up further. If they are still collecting high yield from US Treasury bonds, it will be difficult to entice them.

In this scenario, collecting dividends from SG REITS while it is flat, is actually not a bad strategy. I feel one just have to reinvest the dividends into buying more REITS units if it dips occasionally again, rather than spending the dividends.

you will notice that there are those in MM/SSI who will never share what they buy or their portfolio, and others who are more open to sharing
